It is still very tight but 3 more wins will almost certainly secure top4. Truly no easy games from here on in but, a victory on Tuesday night will set us up extremely nicely.

Argued that until I was blue on the face on here, but always the same ones said it didn't matter a jot. It does. Big time.
There are some UEFA stats out there that show playing at home in Europe has very little effect on the following game, whereas playing away has a huge one.
Its not just an opinion but a fact.

United are well and truly out of things now. I just hope they can muster a performance against Chelsea. I can't believe how fortunate we were that Solskjaer initially had such a good run of results, including against us, and that their board gave him the job before the season was over. Imagine the speculation in the media right now about Pochettino if they hadn't have rushed their appointment - Poch gets the better of Guardialo pretty much 3 out 3 games, while the honeymoon period is well and truly over for Ole, but United have made their bed now and even they can't sack a manager a few weeks after appointing him

Agreed. He'll be sacked next season i reckon. Means another couple of seasons of confusion for them.

Great day for us. We've lost twice this week yet it has been a huge week for us!

How anybody can have the temerity to call us legends or spursy, when you look at the others is beyond me. Every time arsenal have a chance to go above us they went the bed. Utd are just hopeless and Chelsea are a one man team.

We've had no stadium no preseason, injuries to every part of our squad, bought no players for 2 windows and we are still better than our so called rivals.

And we're in the champions league semi finals!

Wait till next season, we're going to leave that lot behind!

The reason they are not called legends is because they have won a lot more trophies than us over the last 20 years. Until we start winning silverware the term will stick, deserved or not.

You're right of course, but those days are in the past for both of those clubs really.

I'd like to think that we will start to get the respect that we deserve. We have produced some huge performances over the last few years and deserve some recognition for that.

Even during yesterdays match there was barely any mention of the fact that we had so many injuries. We may still have lost but you have to think that having Kane, Winks and Sissoko available would have made a difference in what was an exceptionally tight game. Had that been city/utd/cheleas/pool or the scum, the commentators would have mentioned it a hundred times. Decimated squad this, down to the bare bones that.

To be honest I'm glad, let's just keep proving everybody wrong and beating the odds.

When we lift that trophy in Madrid, they wont be able to say a word!

They just move the goalposts and say something else.
Yeah, but then we just post a picture of Poch lifting the Champions League trophy and that will leave them struggling to speak, so much so that they end up resembling a puffer fish with intermittent but severe flatulence.

I'm sure there is, and generally speaking that would make sense but there's only ever really two days clear rest in Europa league, unless you're playing on a Monday night like Chelsea this week. In the Champions league it alternates between two and three clear days rest.

The bottom line is you get more clear rest days after playing in the CL than you do in the Europa League all things being even etc like how far your progress.

Anyway I hope we're not back in it anytime soon and the longer Arsenal stay in it the better, they'll find it tough to break free of it.

Great results but it is still tight in the table. Keep the focus. Us, fans, have to do our job as well. Let's not go to the stadium sitting there waiting for the team to score. We have to be with the team, keep the buzz until it's over. Fourth consecutive TOP 3 finish is in our hands. Massive achievment. The whole club - players, fans - have to show it's ours. Just one match at a time. COYS!!!

100% this.

In a way it’s probably good they’ll get spanked badly by City, the players will have to show a reaction for Chelsea for the crowd and not looking like chumps.

Yeah how I see it.

Arsenal and United are as shit as each other, difference is that Arsenal have a better/more experienced manager out of the two.

Chelsea will get 4th I reckon although Sarri will do his best to sabotage Chelsea they do have Hazard though.

This is what we should hope for tbh, Arsenal in the Europa League for another year is gold, they have fuck all to spend and they need CL to attract good players.

At least with Chelsea they have a transfer ban and will most probably lose Hazard as well so I'm not sure if CL will make much of a difference to them.

Utd are just shit, CL or no CL, Ole is out of his depth and they'll struggle to attract great players either way, their team is such a mess.

Agree with most of that, but not this bit. They have the biggest finances and pulling power out of our top four rivals regardless.

Don’t want any of them in the CL, but I think it would harm Arsenal and Chelsea more to miss out.

Not going to write Ole off just yet. It's clear that they need to sell off the players that aren't prepared to work for the team and bring in those who are (like we did when Poch came), however I think that'll be more a fault of Woodward if it doesn't happen. And even if it does, it won't come to fruition for at least 2-3 years

Yes they need to overhall the playing squad. But are they really going to do that if there are doubts about the manager? Or will woodward bring in players that he wants rather than ole? I think that they will bring in a couple of high profile players next season to settle the share holders nerves but they wont get rid of the big name players that really don't seem to give a shit. Sanchez is on wages nobody will match. Pogba is their star name. So next season they will struggle ole will fall out of favour of the big name players and woodward will pull the trigger. Not ole's fault.

If i was woodward i would sack ole after the last game of the season. I would bring in overmars and hag. They will have total control of the football side from grass roots upwards. Will give them a budget for players and wages and would leave them to it and see where we are in 3 years time.

Wednesday certainly made my hole weak.

I'd definitely go to see the doctor about that, a weak hole isn't good whatever job you are doing(y)

myself with a permanent weak hole (thank good to Imodium) Wednesday made my whole week more cheerful(y)

Could all be done by this time next week for top 4:
Spurs beat Brighton and West Ham

Arsenal draw and lose Vs Leicester and wolves away

United lose one of Chelsea or city.

Be great to have it done before Ajax.

would have to be 2 very good wins, with only 4 better GD at the moment over the goons I'd not say DONE

If we play with energy and intensity and are not in any way complacent we should win the next 2 games and that should be almost enough.

After the Cardiff result, Brighton don't need to go gung-ho but just need a point - so the usual 10 men behind the ball, with the goalie wasting time from the first minute - score early and we should win out comfortably.

We know how the west ham game will go - it will be really hard fought. I would assume our boys are prepared for a dog fight.

A good weekend, even with our loss but could have been better if Michael Oliver wasn't such *&*^%g chickenshit and given the penalty for the handball he MUST have seen.

will be a huge psychological advantage to go into the Ajax games knowing the CL qualification is not at stake.

Lets not screw this up now..........COYS!!
