Think we'll get a tonking tomorrow lunch.
Just hope we're focused on both fronts now.
I sense Poch and the boys (and us!) have subconsciously written off Saturday!
I can handle that if it means we win on Saturday.

This is probably my dream scenario: We lose out on top four to Man U in third and Arsenal in fourth on the last match day (12/5). St Totteringhams Day is celebrated, we are mocked again. We then go on to win the CL and Chelsea somehow manages to win the EL. Arsenal get fourth but lose out on CL.
Depends on how severe it is, if they've both pulled it then it will be a few weeks minimum unfortunately.
Can honestly see it. Fatigue means it'll be hard for both teams to reenergise and get up for it. City will not only be deflated but under massive pressure knowing that another slip up may mean no title.
We can definitely do both. We've seen even our weakened teams beat Leicester, Watford and Newcastle at home. We only really need to do the same and beat Bournemouth awayI think It's now time to make a decision on what is the priority, getting top four or winning the Champions League and to me it's becoming clearer so that I when I ask myself why do we want to get into the CL I answer surely it is to try to win it, now I know that is an unlikely scenario most of the time and the league should be our priority however the further we go the more the scales tip in the other direction.
As far as I'm concerned we have tipped the balance in favour of winning the Champions league over getting top four and if we don't then I'm fucked if I can see the point of getting into it next season anyway.
TO DARE IS TO DO.

It isn't a case of one or the other, we will try and do both.

Of course we'll be trying our hardest for both a top 4 finish and making the CL final, that's so obvious that it doesn't even need mentioning. But I think the point that @worcestersauce is making - which I am totally on board with - is that if we do have any moments in the remainder of the season where by necessity an either/or choice has to be made when managing our squad in some aspect, then IMO that choice must be made with the CL Semis as the top priority and with the actions for the league fixtures adjusted accordingly to accommodate that priority.
We want both, and maybe we can have both, but if we do come up against any bottlenecks in the resources of our squad that force us to make a tough choice then that choice must (IMO) be made to give us the best chance of victory in the CL semis at the expense of the opportunity cost in the league fixtures.
I was thinking the same, fuck it off. With our depleted squad, I’d use this opportunity to play some of our fringe / youth players and give a much needed rest to some of our important (but still available) players.
I was thinking the same, fuck it off.
Added bonus is it would piss Liverpool off no end.
Its just not Poch's way though so I can't see it happening.

I disagree. The only way I would be okay on missing top 4 is if we went on to win the CL. I am sure that "our project" relies on us being in the CL both for future financial gain and new player attraction. New Stadium, a vibrant Fanbase and Top 4 i.e. Champions League football are all part of the formula. Take any of these elements out and we will regress instead of being the force that we have become in the English Premier League.I agree with this. Getting to the semis of the Champions League and hopefully the final has brought excitement to the club. I may be in the minority but that to me is what it’s all about. The glory nights. Even if we finish 5th and don’t win the CL to me it’s a better season than not getting to the final stages and finishing 4th. Especially with all the injuries etc.
I don’t buy into the view that it will be a disaster with the new stadium investment if we are playing in the EL . Players will still sign for us if Levy loosens the purse strings . It might make a slight difference to Eriksen and Alderweireld but in both cases it seems like money is the main issue. We were in CL this season and signed nobody.
Hopefully we will get top 4 but that doesn’t define our success or failure this season.
