On the other hand an extra two CL games will add to the fixture congestion in an already busy period. Admittedly we've overcome fixture congestion before but I'd worry about our midfielders playing so many games.

Yeah better drop out of the CL i guess so our players don't get sleepy.....:sneaky:

what is clearer than ever is that the officials are having to resort to more and more blatantly wrong decisions in order for united/arse and the chavs to stay in contention. am still hoping for a jimmy grimble header from the ref in a game before the end of the season, lets be fair it won't actually be that surprising after what we've seen lately.

still think we need 4 wins to be 100%. you can never ever underestimate how ridiculously jammy the scum, united and chavs are. If there's a mathematical way of fitting all 3 of them in 2 spots you can be sure the FA will find it.

We're fully capable of winning 4 of our last 5.
Brighton, Bournemouth, West Ham, Everton.
Average league position of those 4 is 12.5

Brighton lost their last 3 including a 5-0 twatting.
Bournemouth have only won 2 of their last 5
WHU lost their last 3 and should totally have lost to Huddersfield - HUDDERSFIELD.
Everton - you never know what one will turn up, but we have an extremely good record against them. Last game of the season, their season will certainly be over.

And let's not rule out the chances on Saturday against Shitty. We have had some memorable games against them home and away over the years.

I disagree entirely that there is some sort of conspiracy, a determination by officials to 'do us down'. This is hysteria. And lends itself to a deeply unattractive sense of victimhood.

Doing us down and giving some other teams a hand are independent.
We've had some decisions go against us this season, sure. But other teams, Liverpool and Chelsea mostly, have gotten more than a hand from the ref repeatedly this season.
Chelsea's goals against Cardiff were shocking decisions.
Liverpool have had about 4 or 5 penalties that were 100% dives. They've also not had them given against them (Son at Wembley in the last minute at 1-2) various times.

Liverpool also should have had a clear pen against Leicester and a legit goal was dissalowed against Arsenal.

Chelsea should have actually had a penalty against Cardiff as well when one of their players was pulled down.

Etc etc..

we need another word rather than 'conspiracy'. Agree it's highly unlikely but when you see favourable decisions given to the same teams game in game out that directly affect the outcome of games, what would you call it?

I can think of probably 2 or 3 decisions we've had over the WHOLE season. The scum/chavs and united have had that many in the past 2 weeks ffs and it always escalates the tighter the games/league get. If the officials were utterly shit for everyone fair enough but they're clearly not.

Just because we're paranoid
doesn't mean that they ain't out
to get us.

I think it's more the old top four entitlement lingering on
Cross Utd and there will be Fergie repercussions.
Anything for a quiet life.
It will take time to die out.
Just wait until we start to get
the big team benefits
.
It's a long time coming though.
New Stadium might swing it.

Arsenal were very fortunate last night
and Utd at the weekend.
Not sure it was biased refereeing though.

Neither team or Chelsea is particularly impressive

I just want to secure top 4 before our last game of the season so we can proper enjoy the game

Me too especially as I might not be able to go. I’d rather not have the stress. Unfortunately that needless bad run we had has probably made it likely that it will go down to the last day.

There is no officiating conspiracy they are just mostly rubbish and are getting found out with more regularity. I would like to believe that VAR would address this but based on what we saw last week i remain to be convinced.

We don't need another word for it...there's nothing wrong with calling it a 'conspiracy' as that's exactly what you're suggesting.

fair enough mate. it's just you mention conspiracy and all of a sudden you're a tin foil hat wearing lunatic who lives in a cupboard under the stairs wearing a string vest lol. i just don't know what else to call it, it's so common now for us to be talking about these decisions in almost every game, it's way beyond coincidental as it's so regular now.

Unfortunately mate, if you’re suggesting that refeees are are being instructed to decide the outcome of matches, then that’s how you’re likely to be viewed.
Conspiracy is the only word for it.
