England have achance of lifting there 1st major silverware this summer in nations league. And trust me the media and country will make this out like it’s the World Cup. This is the last get together before the Nations league semi. Any players pulling out now are only jeopardising their owns chances of being involved.

1st Major Silverware ?? pretty much on par with our Peace Cup victory.

Only in England is this seen as nothing more than a friendly tournament...

It's a new tournament, but it's not going away and as a concept I think it's a great idea. To win the first edition of it will be huge.

Pretty sure this is what the FA thought about the World Cup.

Say what you want about this tournament but it has produced some of the most exciting international football we have seen in a long time and every country is really going for it.

I’d rather our players were playing tbh. Having a 3 week rest isn’t always a good thing. I think it’s good for them to go away from the squad and (hopefully) win a game or two with their national teams and stop the rot we’ve had recently.

Nations league is basically the carabo cup of international football. Trust me twitter will be full of “it’s coming home” and we will be getting the obligatory beer throwing in parks videos. As said this is the 1st edition but this tournament is here to stay and will be viewed as the 3rd major international tournament to win.

So you're saying that if Harry pulls out of these games through a small injury Southgate will leave him out of the following games:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Was obviously referring to fringe players like Delph and shaw who have pulled out. But I have no doubt if Kane has a drought anytime in next 2 years you will here calls for Rashford down the middle especially if he is scoring.

Good graph! Arsenal's away games and Chelsea's general form are the two main reasons I'm still very optimistic about our chances. I wouldn't bet on Arsenal to win more than one or two of those away ties, they're all tough games even if they might not all have a lot to play for.

As I said a few pages back, win our five home games, which I see as very realistic, and away at Bournemouth and job's done. Even five wins from those six might well be enough.

Apart from West Ham who you would think will get themselves up for playing us, our last four are against teams who will be playing for nothing. Much rather be playing those teams than teams right down the bottom and scrapping for their lives.

Huddersfield are done. City and Liverpool will obviously be tough.

So after the next round of games the worst case scenario is we are 5th (us getting a bit of a chasing at Liverpool and Man Utd winning by a few against Watford) and Chelsea being just a point behind us.

Psychologically that could be a huge blow to see us drop out of the top 4 however I see all teams dropping points along the way. Everton, Leicester, Watford and Wolves play a lot against our rivals and should hopefully take points off them plus Man Utd playing Chelsea. Throw in Utd playing City and Chelsea against Liverpool as well and I’d say we still have a very strong chance with 5 out of 8 at our NEW home.

After seeing us take a drubbing against an already relegated team with only 10 men at the end of a season I wouldnt be taking any game as a given.
We have royally fucked up this season in just a few weeks.
To be honest anyone who throws away a 10pt lead against shit teams doesn't deserve top 4. Thats not top 4 material.
There is still, even after all the improvement made, a soft mentality with this club. Christ knows why but we still seem to go into some games looking like we think we've already won or a goal will come eventually if we just keep the ball for long enough.
Its down to Poch to get the team up to press and shoot on sight when we play a shower of shit but for some reason we dont sometimes.
Rotating the squad is one thing but continually making wholesale changes to the whole team every single game is never gonna benefit anyone.
This collapse is all down to Poch imo.
Fucking embarrassing form and worthy of the legends tag unfortunately.
So pissed off.

If we get enough points to finish top four at the end of the season we deserve top four.

Absolutely. But we'll have made bloody hard work of it after being in such a comfortable position.
I think thats whats so frustrating. We can be absolutely fantastic, which we are for the most part, and then every now and then we have a huge brain fart, normally against weaker opponents. I suppose every team can be included as having that problem. Shit happens. Just not normally to such a degree in such a short space of time.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry at this post, amazing

so you approach every game we play with the mind set of a game nearly 3 years ago, and since then we have only conceded more than 2 goals in a handful of games, 2 of those v City and another v Arsenal at their gaff, I know Wolves at home this season was another and can't think of another.

we have blown a 10pt gap against shit teams? Chelsea, who we gifted and are in the top 6 and have quite a history of winning things. drew against Arsenal a team we have only finished above twice in 20 odd years, Burnley who was the form team at the time, plus we played badly, and away to Southampton a team that has improved since the new manager, and a game had we put our chances away in the 1st half it would of been a win, but the last 2 are fighting for their lives, and even teams like City lose to teams in the bottom half, Palace and Newcastle.

we haven't been doing the high press this season, most probably down to the fact we have a squad full of internationals, that 11 of them where at the WC, we have suffered a season of injuries, the disruption on no rest, no preseason, no transfers, and no stadium.

embarrassing is correct, but I suggest looking in a mirror a little closer to home

What I find most annoying is that our worst performances very often come right after an absolute belter. We're currently floundering in the wake of our fantastic effort v Dortmund. It seems like we expect opponents to run and hide when we've had a good game. We should be building on great performances, not patting ourselves on the back.

Wtf are you on about?
We dropped points against shit mate.
2 teams in the bottom 5!
Injuries and WC have nothing to do with where we were just a few weeks ago and where we now are, the fuck up came after the fact.
Wtf has how Chelsea have done in the past got to do with how they are now and that we threw the game away? They didnt beat us, we beat ourselves.
I'm left wondering if you watched the game.
And frankly your last sentence is laughable. Wtf does that even mean or have to do with anything?
If you think we havent seriously fked up in recent weeks then good for you.

have sent you a PM

We dropped points against shit mate.
2 teams in the bottom 5!

5 of 10 points we have dropped of the 10 point lead was against top teams, you said blown 10pts lead. We played Burnley at their ground, Southampton at their ground.

Burnley where a form team when we played them, they where a top 7 team last season. they struggled at the start of the season, due to having to play in the Europa qualifiers, and having their best 2 keepers injured. No team has a divine right to be guaranteed a result. on their day any team in the Premier League can beat another. they held us at our place until the dying seconds, they should of beat Man U at OT the week before.

Southampton have preformed better since the new manager and have improved as a team. because teams played shit most of the season, sometimes things change and they preform better. if those 2 loses had been away to Huddersfield and Fulham (though lucky to get a result there) I might of understood the SHITE! Before things changed the were SHITE, but if you follow football you might notice teams form does change.

Injuries and WC have nothing to do with where we were just a few weeks ago and where we now are, the fuck up came after the fact.

so you don't think the WC? injuries? haven't taken it's toll then I can't help. these are professional footballers playing at the top level, and our season has suffered, the players are knackered mentally

we lost to Burnley without Alli, it was Kanes 1st game back, most of our squad had been playing 2 times a week since near on 2017/18 start till now. if you don't think that has caused burnout then I don't know, because other than 3 or 4 games in total this season, I don't think we have played well. the points might say differently, and as others say perhaps the break never helped us.

Injuries and WC have nothing to do with where we were just a few weeks ago and where we now are, the fuck up came after the fact.

you put our lose of points on recent form, and said to SHITE teams, in that losing a 10 point lead we played Chelsea. are you classing Chelsea as a SHITE team?

yes I watched the game, and had we not handed them 2 goals I don't think we would of lost. both teams where bad and was looking like 0-0

And frankly your last sentennce is laughable. Wtf does that even mean or have to do with anything?

United winning by a few ? You mean 8 ? whatever happens we will be 3rd going into Liverpool match. After weekend/Monday at worst 4th. But United then have Wolves away on the Tuesday. So we could be 5th when we play palace but win and straight back to 3rd. All this is of course sssuming we will lose to Liverpool and the others win every game which we all know is probably unlikely. Although I will do an accumulator just in case.
