Technically, it's not in our hands.

We could win all our games and still finish below Liverpool.

IMO, we don't necessarily have to win at Man City or Liverpool. Most important thing would be not lose either.

The race would be so tight, there is bound to be a lot of twists and turns.
Finishing third with 88 points would be quite staggering. I know the league’s concertina’d out so top teams are getting more points and the bottom ones less, but that would be incredible.

Chelsea will undoubtedly be motivated for our game, they always are at the Bridge.

They can be motivated all they like but they have 4 games in 14 days before they play us. And the city final is 3 days before playing us. Today they could barely run at 75 minutes and that was after they’d had a weeks rest.

The plan was always to finish top four title talk is a nice dream but only that we are on course for another top three finish and that is fine with me and the ceiling of what we can achieve right now.

Spurs at the Bridge is the one they always manage to find some form of motivation no matter their form or manager issues. All I'm saying is don't expect them to roll over as easy as today, regardless of fixtures prior to it.

That was a bit excruciating but job done and as many have pointed out we could be within 2 points as Liverpool go to Old Trafford under pressure. I was quite pessimistic about Chelsea away but given their CC Final, our extra day of rest and their schedule and that they have been absolutely bummed today I am quietly confident. HK should be back and maybe even Dele on the bench

If we could just get a couple of cricket scores against the Huddersfields etc. we might give ourselves a chance of matching Liverpool's goal diff (and I say a chance not a likelihood).

Just beat burnley at all costs. Then the crunch time will come and we can look to make our move.
For me the cl is a bonus now. No real home advantage has us stuffed in that comp either way.

They didn't in the league fixture last season.

Where does a creative midfielder fit in this team though?
If Eriksen leaves then we may need someone who can do this, possibly a little deeper. I guess it's futile suggesting it cause we have no idea how Poch will wish to replace him. I just think a player like Kovacic would be redundant in this team as Winks and Sissoko are more than adequate of filling that role.

We do need someone who can screen that defence better though. That's a certainty.

They did in the cup fixture this season when 1-0 down.

My point is if there is one game you know they won't need motivating, it's us at their place. In fact I reckon that defeat to us there last season may be all the motivation they need.

We are the undrawables.......way way better than the invincibles. They drew 12 games, we haven't drawn one.

If we manage to go a whole season without drawing a game it beats the bollox out of the so called invincibles, and centurions.

We wouldn't definitely need to win all three of those away games.

Why are you assuming that our rivals arnt going to drop any points?

It's a tall order yes, but we don't have to win all three of those tough away games.

Where have I said that? My predictor included dropped points from City and Liverpool.

But we don't, necessarily, have to win all three of those away games - you're saying we do to stand any chance.

I do believe we have to. I do agree that I can see City and Liverpool dropping at 3 easy points at some point though. But I think that is all they'll drop. And I think we are more likely to drop easy points than they are.

OK, well I think we could draw one or even two of them and still be well in the mix, providing we win one of them - say Anfield.

Tall order, but not impossible.

We’re not in the race for the title yet in my opinion. If we can somehow manage to beat Burnley away and Liverpool lose to Utd then we are definitely in it. We’ll then have Kane and Dele back and give it a proper go. Having to go Chelsea, Liverpool and City away will be the decisive moments - we’d have to win two of them to have a chance likely. Considering our injuries, Wembley and fear of spending its phenomenal we’re even mentioned though.

Isn’t that just explaining why we are IN the title race though? «Beat Burnley» - the odds will be in our favour and «Liverpool lose to United» - nothing earth shattering there...

We are definately in the race, just megadefensive to say otherwise.

We could however be out of the race (again) soon, and considering the fixtures we are not by any means favorites.

But I will bet you a lot of Money that we win the PL if we win our remaining games...
