Well that bit was never in question as far as I am concerned. On any given day, we can beat pretty much anyone. My doubt is that we can be consistently better than everyone else over a whole season.

well the consistency has been the prob, but the 2 seasons we got close to competing, the 2 teams that won it had the most consistent regular starting XI, very few injuries, and a lot less fixtures. unfortunately we have suffered injuries (though last season wouldn't of mattered).

Hmm. I don't think Lacazette is anywhere near being a key player for Arsenal - he barely gets in their starting 11 half the time. Admittedly I can't think of anyone to replace him with though… ;)

I did think twice before I even included Arsenal tbh ? but basically they only have 2 decent players and if they did both get injured they would be well and truly stuffed. Tbh wasting £60m on a striker when you already had a completely competent one was a shocking decision.

I think the big thing is what our squad looks like on Sept 1. If we keep everyone (not counting Jansen and maybe a CCV loan), I think we will finish in the top 3 with injuries etc. helping determine the places. ManCity will have to have a number of injuries at the same position for it to derail them, but 2nd / 3rd is within our reach.

As they get healthy, Wanyama / Winks / Dembele will help cement the CM position as one of our strengths IMO. Moura and Lamela will provide some cover for our front 3 and Amos/Skipp will provide cover in cup games to keep legs fresh in the center of the park.

We have an excellent keeper, the best 3 CB combination in the league, experienced FBs with Walker-Peters starting to push them, the second best AM in the league (Eriksen) and the most consistent and best striker in the PL.

Give our players and coach some credit, they are actually pretty good as evidenced by the last 3 seasons and their performances in the WC.

I think people are underrating Utd though, think they’ll still be an ugly machine and up there

First report I saw said season. Anyways still a big blow for them. And we’ve all seen how unpredictable knee injuries are with Rose and wanyama.

4th or 5th because our midfield is pretty horrible. Dembele can't play too many matches and he is getting worse plus Wanyama might never return to his previous form and might struggle with injuries again.

You know the what the worst thing about that de bryne news was?.......the fact that my first thought was "ffs pool are gonna win the title"
How could i? I hate pool. If kdp is indeed out for even a couple months it will be incredibly tough for him to play any real part for city having already had a lack of pre season after the wc.

I went through the exact same thought process.

Had we got in one or two id have had a more positive automatic thought process. That said top three is not beyond us

Continuity , belief and togetherness along with luck with injuries and we can win it. We need a strong start which has been our downfall previously

Not such a massive issue with their strength in depth, I suppose it depends on what matches he misses as well.

I do agree, but when he plays he makes them tick, not sure if David Silva is out for long, but if he misses another 2-3 along with De Bruyne that might hurt enough to close the gap a little. lets hope we can get the stadium ready for that match, because at the moment we have nowhere to play it, and not sure if we will receive a penalty

You said it like it was fact. Can you read sunshine...

To be honest you come across like a complete prick.
I’m sorry you feel that way, I genuinely am. I stupidly presumed you were intelligent enough to realise that predictions are generally based on opinion rather than any certain knowledge of the future. In future though, I can preface any prediction I make with IMO or similar if you feel it would help?
