I may have written us off at some point but I fancy us now. Momentum is with us and we always finish strongly under Poch.

We can forget about Arse, it's all about Liverpool and Chelsea, with the latter looking very vulnerable now.
Chelsea's next 2 games after this week are City and Utd away

Mind-boggling how tough the task still is: we have to hold off two of Liverpool, Chelsea and Arse, and two of those teams are ahead of us if they win their games in hand. It's still a monster of a challenge.
Well yeah, but right now, I think the perspective is that the challenge is dwarfed compared to a few weeks ago. Yes of course the deal isn't sealed. But at this point, it's in our own hands, and that's comforting. If we trail Chelsea for the rest of the season, we'll get a chance to overtake them when playing them. That's the very definition of it being down to us. :woot:

Hope Shitty win every game except losing to us, and the rest of them drawing against one another. Of course we beat Chelscum and stay at 2nd place.

Genuine question (and I am not trying to take away from the result today at all because we were utterly fantastic) but is anybody worried about how we aren’t very clinical at the moment?

We could have been 3-4 up against the scum and they nearly punished us at the end for not being clinical enough, same against Liverpool, Harry missed that pen and we nearly got punished and should have had 2-3 goals that second half.

Is it just a case of bad luck or have we slightly lost our finishing edge somewhat?

Despite their games in hand, it's nice to be ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea for the first time in a long time (first time this season?), and have let them deal with the pressue of not fluffing their lines this weekend.

The take out from these last few matches is that we are an incredibly fit team, the 2nd half performances alone have told you that we have more stamina than our rivals whilst they are looking leggy, bodes extremely well for the run in.

We just look bigger faster and fitter. You could also make a case we now all round have the best squad depth.

I have the opposite take. We are now creating loads of chances against top sides instead of a just a few. The goal tally is the same, but eventually we will push on and start hammering them.

we are sitting pretty, our one away fixture is to the team in the worst form. United and Chelsea have the worst run-in and Arsenal is likely out of contention. Agree 2nd is a real possibility.

Yes.. at times felt there was a tiny bit of complacency in our finishing after going one nil up and didn't like it.. think poch will be looking to nip that in he bud.. also the close shave at the end may be no harm

never better illustrated than the tussles between Dembele and Wiltshire - read one report which compared it to a contest between a chipmunk and a grizzly bear

It is amazing to me, being a supporter for just over 30 years, that we have just completely dominated our major rivals in the second half of every game. Bar the Dier slip for Liverpool’s goal we have been containing the first half then utterly destroying in the second. What a time to be alive. I’d rather be a spurs fan than any other right now

Yet we scored 5 goals against our rivals and conceded just 2. It happens from time to time. I'd be more concerned if the chances dried up
