Hardly deals us a blow he simply says "I think Remy will start the season at QPR" which is very likely unless he signs in the next 2 days. This will be a deadline day move if it happens.

I don't think we're that arsed about signing a striker anyway, 3 is enough to cover the one place up front. We need a left-sided attacker, hence our interest in Rodriguez and Depay. To be totally honest, provided we sign a centre half I don't mind not getting any midfield/attack signings and getting the best out of what we have right now. Erikssen did a good job on the left and Chadli played there too, we have too many options in the middle so push one of them out.

Remy can and has played wide left. Would be an excellent addition for a proven PL goal scorer, who could cover as a striker in the case of injury or suspension. Plus that would give us four good options, not unlike any of the current top four sides.

Going onto a long season with just three recognised strikers is risky, and has cost us dearly in the past.

I agree in principle. However, with Kane still finding his feet at the highest level, Soldado still not completely settled in the PL and Ade going to the ANC, I would really like to see another good striker brought in and Remy seems to be one of the best we can hope to get.

Remy would not play much, Ade is number one, Soldado must be next and Kane if we want to develop him needs to play or be loaned to an EPL team...in which case we might need a third striker but would Remy want to sit around?

No big deal anyway as he is hardly an upgrade on what we have and that is surely the benchmark for older players

I dont like this Remy dude, he seems like a drama queen. The type of player that appears in the newspapers far too often...and not for his goalscoring ability
