No drinks in the stadium as its a uefa game so the pubs (if there are actually any) are going to be pretty rammed.

I going with the cheaper option of buying cans at the supermarket and drinking on the way to the game.
Mind you, that will mean I need to piss every 15 mins!

I work right across the road from Watford Junction so no point going to Watford High Street.
Going home afterwards I need to use same line anyway, and I get a discount on the mainline route.

No not Watford High street, that's the same line. Watford Met line is in the park nearer the Watford stadium. The met line delivers you to the stadium, Wembley Central is a long walk to the stadium.

Either way I've got a 20 odd minute walk, be it Wembley Central to stadium, or office to Met Line station - and I don't fancy that walk back to Watford Junction at night.

In exactly the same situation, work 2 mins from Watford junction...can't decide whether to go from Watford Met or the junction.
Am swaying towards getting the overground to Wembley Central from WJ and walking from there to The Torch

Bollocks to the local pubs. I'm meeting my pals in the metropolitan bar next to madame tussauds(sp).

None the wiser after reading this...

I'm a Wembley virgin. Pub within walking distance to the ground - any suggestions that don't involve parking?

My mum said I'm not allowed to drink unless it's the weekend.

Anyone know any good non-alcoholic pubs?

I asked the same question on here and facebook and i'm thinking my best bet will be The Torch near wembley park station.

Not sure whether to drive (from Stevenage) down to Stanmore and then get on the tube or try and go all the way by train and find a pub somewhere nearby. Think we went to (actually went to the shop up the road and then sat outside with cans of Holsten Pils) The Torch for the League Cup final v Chelsea.

Decisions decisions!

I'm working in Hatfield so heading down to Stanmore/Canons Park and tubing it from there heading back to near stevenage after the game.

Does anyone know of on street parking at stanmore to avoid the £5+ parking fee?

TFL own the building that pub is in. Not that that will probably affect your enjoyment!

Harrow is just a town near Wembley, connected directly by tube, about 5-6 minute trip. There's a few car parks, a few pubs next to car parks and one of the pubs is called the Harrow which unless it's changed hands has a spurs landlady
Thanks for that. Gives me a good option to park if I drive to the match

So traveling down from the West Midlands, does parking at Stanmore station and getting the tube to Wembley seem the best option? It's my birthday Thursday so trying to figure out the quickest way to get back home after the game. I am open to parking around Wembley but guess after the game will be a nightmare with traffic

Canons Park has a car park as well (but it's pay-and-display).
