Paris Saint-Germain are looking to use Julian Draxler as a bargaining chip in effort to trump Real Madrid in the race for Christian Eriksen's signature.

Seems fanciful. Why would they part with Draxler? And is PSG really a step up?

If you look at Eriksen’s interview closely, he says if I’m to leave hopefully it’s a step up. Which suggests maybe he just wants to try another league/culture with a big team. Might not be just Real/Barca.

He could have meant wages for all we know, or must definitely have that in the back of his mind considering he's only been on 75k pw til now. He's earned much bigger money, no doubt, but he'll try to leave saying the right things only.

For me, he doesn't have to put a gloss on it. He's entitled to move on for money or medals or both. Good luck to him.

Maybe he means that if he goes to RM they might manage to stay in the CL a bit longer and not get roasted by Barca in the League.

Problem for them is that Eriksen has said he'll only join RM or Barca type teams. If not, he's happy to stay at Tottenham.

Well we’re unlikely to sign a player as premium as Draxler with cash so cool

Tho these swap and part exchanges never happen
