There always have to be butts involved with you

Sorry, I just feel the team has more potential playing another way, that doens't involve Keane. Not because it is Keane, just because.

Keane holds up play when we go forward and appears to be doing a great job - in midfield - when he should be further forward being dangerous and not trying to be a midfielder. How many of his goals have been penalties?

I'll admit I'm not a huge fan of Keane's, but I admire the effort he's been putting in recently

Recently? :? When was he not putting in the effort?

I like him, he's trying, and succeeding.

But.... :?

I do feel that Keane is detrimental to our all round play, maybe thats down to the system and not him, but I feel he slows our play down too much. Ramos likes teams with pace, maybe he can work in that, but I think Bent and Berbatov fit that better. Long may the goals continue though, he just doesn't have me totally convinced.

Unbelieveable Jeff :? Scores 23 goals in 30 games and your blaming him for our defence being a shambles :duh:

No i'm not blaming him for our defensive problems at all, just think we'll be a better attacking unit with Bent and Berbatov. I could be wrong, and I won't mind that at all, I want the best for Spurs, and currently Keane is bringing the goods.

Keane, I've lost that loving feeling.

He's not a good captain. He doesn't lead the line when Berbs drops off. Often delays the pass too long and then the recipient is offside or in trouble.

Keane is a legend, his goals have saved us from relegation before and it currently looks like they may have to do so again.

The idea of playing Berbatov and Bent at the moment is not a clever one, they're probably the most out of form of the 4 strikers. I'd rather see Keane and Defoe up front, if we can keep the ball on the floor.

Keane is a great player, he's done it consistently at the highest level, scored in world cup finals, and is arguably our highest profile player in world football. Great player, great attitude.
Y'days game he created the opening for Lennon that led to the penalty and then scored it. also set up Berbatov for free header in 2nd half.

23 goals in the last 30 games, that surely should put an end to the debate. It does for me. He is a very good player and still doing his stuff for us as chaos surrounds him.

You’d think so wouldn’t you? But no, it’s more likely ‘in those other 7 games he was rubbish!’ :sleepy:
