I've never understood the Keane bashing that goes on. He frustrates the **** out of me at times, but theres no denying his consistant quality.

Signing Keane was the start of our revival, I'm convinced of it. He has got better and better, and previously having a bit of a reputation as a nomad, has truely found his home.
I've no doubt that if we put him up for sale, many a European club would be banging down our door.

Last season I had a constant dilemma as to who I think should leave the club (strikers. 4 is too many imo). I've finally come the conclusion that if one is to go, it must be defoe, and I think I've said that before.

But, times they are a changing. No one's place is safe and we'll just have to see how it all pans out over the next 12 months or so.

Never, ever dull being a Spurs fan.....

I'm not knocking the goals, I just think that we may as a team, play better with a different strikeforce. I'm not playing down what hes done at all.

You sense no make.

We cut out the sloppyness at the back and improve on our defending (learn to defend) at set-pieces and we shoot up the table, quit the vendetta, YOU ARE WRONG.

Dougal I completely agree, the problem isn't that Keane is playing, the problems are defensive. I am entitled to an opinion that we may function better attacking with a different partnership.

Because Berbatov and Keane don’t work?

Because that is Keane’s fault and not Berbatov’s?

Yes, you are entitled to be wrong.

I'm not saying it doesn't work, it does, proved that last season and this.

I think that each of them would be better partnered by Bent, that doesn't mean I think Bent is our top striker, Berbatov and Keane are, but it's not always about playing your best players.

If you just type in ‘I don’t like Keane’ for every post you’d make far more sense.

Sorry, I just feel the team has more potential playing another way, that doens't involve Keane. Not because it is Keane, just because.

I agree the style of play isn't helping us just now, but i dont think we need to drop Keane altogether. I hope Ramos gets him playing (possition wise) like a striker than a midfeilder. He does it for Ireland when he is up front on his own and can be a real threat.

I can't believe this even up for debate.... Keane and Bale have been the only TWO players who have actually played remotely to their capabilities this season. Keane's our top scorer by quite a few and currently our most intelligent footballer. As for our other forwards, he seems to be the only striker getting better and better every season. Will be a very sad day at WHL if Keano was ever to leave.

I thought I'd just post to say how happy I am to see so many people coming out in support of Keano and treating this thread as it was intended - a tribute to Keano rather than arguing who is better (in my humble highly-biased opinion Keano is though! )

Also cheers for the rep people - you know who you are!
