Possibly the second best ever final game in an EPL season?

I don't think that the EPL has ever had so many permutations resting on the final game.

The fixture list for Sunday is fascinating:-

Following Man City's win over Stoke tonight, they are now in third place ahead of the Gooners by one point but with an inferior goal difference.

If City win at Bolton, they will finish third. A draw will not be enough if the Gooners win at Fulham. Both games are difficult to forecast.

Much as I dislike City, I dislike the Gooners even more and I hope City finish above them so that the Gooners have to qualify for the CL.

If Spurs lose (lets face it, consistency against lower teams has not been our strong point this season) and the Scousers (I was delighted we beat them as it showed that their belief that they belong in the top four is flawed) win, Spurs will (I believe) still play in the Europa League due to being top of the Fair Play league.

However, if Villa can beat the Gooners at the New Library, the Scousers will have to raise their game to beat them at Villa Park.

And if we finish above the Scousers, Fulham will be in the Europa League instead of Liverpool due to Fulham being second in the Fair Play league in the UK.

The relegation battle has two teams on forty points and three teams on thirty-nine. Eek

Wolves v Blackburn (both on forty points) will be a cracker as neither team can afford to lose and a draw will not be enough if two of the three teams on thirty-nine points win.

However, all three teams on thirty-nine points are away.

I hope we thrash Brum as we seriously need to start playing well against teams at the bottom - perhaps the TV cameras might make a difference?

I hope my conclusions about the placings resting on the results are correct - if not, my apologies.

All will be revealed by 18:00 on Sunday

After hearing their fans were making a hissing sound last season I'd love us to relegate the Brummies back to where they belong, they've already served their purpose by preventing Le Arse from winning a trophy this season so now's a good time for them to leave along with another of my all time 'favourites' Wet Spam..

Like you I'd love to see Citeh get third place with the goons getting knocked out in the CL qualifiers and having to settle for the Europa with us..

Hopefully Wigan will escape the drop as I kinda like them although I'm not quite sure why!

As much as I hate arsenal, I still hate teams like Man C and Chelski more. Teams who think they can buy a premiership. And I hope neither of them ever win anything else or get into the top four (of course I am dreaming) but hopefully next year will see.. Spurs, ManU, Liverpool and Arsenal in the top 4.(that is possible)

Would love to see the Brum get relegated and our team go on a long run in the europa league next season- I'm aware that it isn't the Champions League, it's a shame, I agree, but this is an opportunity to keep a young squad happy & everyone playing so they're fit for the business end of next season. So here's hoping we thrash them on Sunday, and send them down to the Championship where they belong- and we are back on the road to European glory! COYS!!

I don't want Shitty to finish 3rd. I was clinging on to the hope they'd get knocked out in the qualifiers.

As much as I hate Arsenal they've played the game properly and earned their spot on their merits. Shitty have basically just bought their CL position. I'm really hoping that we can just ignore Shitty, refuse to accept anything they win until ther sugar daddy gets bored, pulls out and the club ends up in league 1 again.

We don't ever get thrilling finales in the EPL but this is probably as close as we'll get one.

That just about summarises how I feel.

Me too, as with Man City even getting a top 4 spot means they will spend to cement this every year. Even Chelsea`s rise again has made me unhappy, as it was more of "We're not doing too well, lets spent £70m in Jan to help us along our way".

I hate Arsenal fans, and the manager, but they way have progressed on such a limited budget against the big guns deserves some respect.

Chelsea and Man City = Computer game football clubs

I agree. I still hate Arsenal more but what the chavs have done is just wrong IMHO. Don't want to see Arsenal in the europa league though, hope they stay in the CL until the knockouts so they get distracted from the league, it's what screwed us this season.

It's one of the reasons I always want Newcastle relegated and I'd love to see Birmingham relegated for the same reason. QPR next season too.

Spot on.

I hate Arsenal but I despise Man City. Seeing them lift the FA Cup made me feel sick.

They haven't earnt any of their success, their conduct in the transfer market is vulgarity of the highest order and they are stoking wage inflation to such an extent that the financial viability of the game is being jeopardised.

I would laugh if their owners pulled out and they were relegated to the third tier again.

Agree with the majority of others, cannot stand the Arse, however, they do things the right way, play good football and run their finances correctly (At least on the surface), where as Citeh and Chelsea are playing FM - disgusting clubs and I wish them nothing but the very worst luck - must say that Citeh have taken things to another level of revulsion however.

Want them to finish fourth, play Bayern, get knocked out, Mancini fired, the Sheikh fucks off and Citeh return to playing S****horpe.

How can anyone call themselves a Spurs fan and claim they hate Man city more than Arsenal due to the way they run their club.

Are you even aware why we hate them so much? Jesus....

I put it this way - as a Tottenham fan I obviously hate the goonies...as a football fan I still hate the goonies but I despise Man Citeh/Chavsea due to them going out and buying success. I know we've spent a lot of money in the past, but we've always spent well within our means - Citeh/Chavs owners have a bottomless pit of money that does not put them on a level playing field with anyone else.

And anyway, 3rd or 4th place in the league and the FA Cup is hardly a great return on investment when you've spent well over £300 million...just say that to yourself - THREE HUNDRED MILLION POUNDS!!

Can't believe all the gooner love on this thread, makes me seriously want to throw up, urghhh!!

I'm also a hater of Citeh and the Chavs but can't see anything wrong with them spending their own money, it's within the rules! They're fortunate enough to have very wealthy owners and as such can basically bid for whoever they like.. Get over it!

If Man City finish third they'll get to walk straight into the group stages of the CL, and Le Arse will be seeded in the qualifiers and probably get through that anyway...

If City finish fourth they won't be seeded in the qualifiers like we were, partly due to their own shit coefficient and partly due to the quality and recent European success of the other teams involved... And if City were to get knocked out in the qualifiers and not make the group stage it would be HILARIOUS...

I think Sunday was the first time I've ever not taken immense pleasure from Le Arse losing (although it was still funny)

Definitely will be a great weekend. It's time we smash a team 5-0. In fact, I can't remember the last time we scored more than 3/4 goals in the PL.
