This is the main part of what what you said....

I prefer to see the things in front of me and hear it from the horses mouth. Thanks though

You have an unfortunate combination of misundertsanding things and being patronising.

I agree with Poch, we should sell any player that has the temerity to not defy time

Weren’t we just talking about having the youngest squad in the Premier League about 5 minutes ago? The only thing that are really aging to our detriment are the contracts.

IMO, the long term plan that Poch has bought into is that we'll be hitting top gear 2 years into the new stadium. We've been punching above our weight for a few seasons now and fans expectations are a bit inflated. In 2 years time I doubt we'll have Toby, Jan, Eriksen, Wanyama etc,. so we'll be looking to capitalise on their value and invest in younger players. We're not in a position (yet) where we can offer mega contracts to older players to see out their days. That is probably disappointing to a lot of our fans, but it's a pill we probably have to swallow. Everything I've heard directly from Poch indicates that he's here to see the project through. He has an excellent relationship with Levy and they share a mutual trust. Of course we all want success right now but IMO it needs to be sustainable which is what we seem to be aiming for. I also think that building something special and unique appeals a great deal to Poch as opposed to jumping ship to stand on the shoulders of giants.

We shouldn’t do a Liverpool imo, the only players we have who would cost a lot of money is Kane, Eriksen, Alli and Son and it would be a big mistake if we sold any of them

But then we have players who we can still get a decent fee for (Trippier)

We need to be smart in the summer/future

I've had a suspicion for some time that as part of the terms of his bumper new contract in the summer, Poch was asked to toe the party line with regard to speaking about the club's (lack of) spending in public. Since a damning interview a year ago he's continuously defended the lack of signings and warned of further caution in the future.

Can you please back up "what cautions" Levy have supposed to have given Pochettino? Would you rather have a Jose in charge who, despite of being the biggest spender, always blame the lack of back up when his teams are not "succeeding"?
Levy knows, and most people (the football interested) should know by know, that there is no way Levy can hold Pochettino's hand over such matters - simply because Pochettino, Levy and those who follow football a little bit, knows that he can go to almost any of the big clubs with much more spending powers than Spurs and they'll at least double his salary.
But Pochettino prefers to remain at Spurs.
Fact is, and I am surprised so many still haven't got it: Spurs CANNOT compete with the richer, finance doped clubs. They simply can't right now. And Pochettino knows that and yet he's decided to stay at Spurs because he believe he can build up this club to a European force.
Which will take time as Spurs can't afford to buy themselves to success. Yes, Levy is tight but he's not as daft that he doesn't know that investing in the "right" players can lead to more success and thus increased revenues. But it's not that simple - simply because even expensive players flop. And if it was that simple, well, then the richer clubs would always win and still be ahead of Spurs.
Even Arsenal suffered when they invested in a new stadium and yet Spurs are still doing fine with their new stadium due. And even clubs like Chelski, Arsenal, Liverpool etc. do not get all the players they want.
Fans are a bit carried away and expecting - some even taking it for granted - that Spurs will keep on improving every season compared to the other EPL top clubs, almost as if those clubs have no rights to improve on behalf of Spurs despite of budgets that are at least double that of Spurs.
Yes, both Levy and Pochettino could have done better in certain case, but both are doing an excellent job considering the circumstances and I for one hope they both stay for many more seasons to come.
