It's not at odds with what poch has said. Poch has input in targets but doesn't do negotiations. So does not want to be asked about transfer or contract negotiations as levy deals with that.

Well the club must have felt it was at odds if they felt the need to come out and clarify his position within the transfer committee, I think the part they'd take issue with is him saying he knows nothing - which will all know isn't true and that he only coaches, now you've taken that as him saying he isn't involved in the negotiation side but you could argue that saying he only coaches can be misconstrued as him saying he doesn't have a say in who comes in and out. That's not my opinion on it but I can understand the perception and why the club might not be happy with him talking in such a way.

I wish he'd stop causing a storm with his comments then doing a complete u turn 24 hours later, really irks me that does - he always does it its completely pointless.

Why are you going back in history to an exact point of time ?
You said that we can't spend 300m and wages now and stay within FFP (that is totally false)
Sorry, you are totally losing me here with your questioning, I will put it down to it being late at night

1 if it counts the last 3 years I don’t see how you expect our in take would allow that as 1 year was in a 28k stadium, the 2nd year was due to averaging over 66k, and last season we struggled to get over 30-40 for Wembley and cost where higher to rent.

When you 1st replied you said “could of” which is past tense and as most have been moaning more about our past that is what I was replying too.

Many don’t realise the only reason we will be getting close to next years profits is due to reaching the finals. Not bad reaching a final without investing

I have Poch down as bit of a drama queen....club are probably used to it...and take him to one-side after one of his rants...suppose it’s the trade off for the improvement in the club he’s made.

Sometimes people lose their cool. They're human. Maybe they have good reason to.

Ever lost your cool?

Of course....but there is a pattern emerging....spout off in one press conference.....then row back in the following one...

I think it’s why when it happens it shouldn’t be taken to mean the end of the world as per the twitter storm #BackPoch yesterday...

I lose my cool at something worth losing my cool over.

Anyway it's sorted now, not going to hold my breath that he won't pop off again and then be forced to clarify his comments because he's done it before - guess well just have to deal with it and take him for who he is.

I think he’s earned the right to mate, after what he’s managed to do in spite of the last few transfer windows.

What even if he was the one that decided he didn’t want plan b’s, and plan a’s where impossible to get in

I most certainly didn't say "could of", because that is totally wrong, I used the correct terminology "could have", as in "we could have bought 300m of players if we chose to".

Go on then I will bite. I have fallen for your troll behaviour. If you provide to me the last 10 years profit, but also the last 10 years stadium depreciation, training ground depreciation, any other depreciation we spent on infrastructure projects, wages we spent on youth players, wages we spent on all the coaches of the youth team and any other disallowable for FFP purposes expenditure I may require after the event, I will calculate for you roughly how much we could have spent on players at any point in the last 8 years.

so you would be happy to win the premiership and then fall as low as they are now, and likely to never win anything again in their history

Impossible, or difficult?

That excuse worked last summer, it isn’t going to cut it this time out or else why would he say that we need to act differently? I’d very much doubt he hasn’t been given assurances from DL about that very thing, or he may have taken up RM or MUFC when they came knocking.

Don’t get me wrong, two years ago I was stating the exact same line defending DL and decrying the ‘need for trophies=success now’ brigade. However, this TW is different for so many reasons, it’s pivotal (no understatement) and GLC is absolutely key to prove DL is acting ‘differently’ and backing Poch. Get that sorted and I’d expect we’re good until next summer on and off the pitch.

I think press conferences are really dull and he likes a bit of mischief. Not ideal, but also not always worth everyone reading the tea leaves and taking it at face value.

Well as your trying to prove we could HAVE perhaps you can find the figures.

The club over the last 10 years bar last season have spent money, not 200m net but 8-10 we have spent more than we have received and have gone from Europa to a CL team, played in 3-4 finals, and lost a lot of semi finals, and are only in debt because of the stadium.

For Joe Lewis to throw his own money at it, would also mean Levy for Levy to not lose his ownership percentage he would also have to contribute 15% of that debt. Which would then mean the club owing that borrowed, and that’s without guaranteeing that some back to win a trophy or 2. Man City spent 1 billion before they got their 1st return and even there trophy haul since has nowhere covered that cost.

So you honestly would prefer to do what Blackburn did, even if it meant being where they are now

Why the hell should I ?
Your comment was obviously just totally factually wrong in the first place, even if you don't do any addbacks whatsoever, we currently could spend 300m and wages and be within FFP.
Then you were the one who wants to totally change the goalposts, and go back to some mythical time and want me to all the groundwork for you. Sod off
Seriously Lighty, give it a rest, for your sanity and mine. Keep finances off your radar, Even your last paragraph is total bollocks, and you really are devaluing other things you contribute to the board with this naivety.

Technically he's South American and from somewhere about as far away from Latin America as we are from the middle East ?

Depends on your definition of Latin America. Most consider any part of South America that speaks French, Spanish of Portuguese to be Latin America.
