Poch is very comfortable in front of the media these days isn't he.

His English is so much better than when he joined us. Should be really I guess with the amount of time he's been in the country. Although obviously linguistic ability doesn't come naturally to everyone.

Great. So key take aways, we are happy, we are in fact very happy, Kane is happy, Janssen is happy, and we all could be happier only if Janssen would score. But we are so, so happy. I'm happy with that.
That reminded me of Juande Ramo's interview after the Carling cup win

Good stuff as always. Sounds like we will rotate heavily tomorrow, but some players have a chance to boost their standing within the club - Hopefully, players take those chances well.

Its a new experience to have the European game's tiring effects brought up so much by ourmanager . AVB flatly denied there were any effects on following Prem matches . Last season that was Poch's line if I remember rightly .

This season , fatigue is front and central in press conferences/interviews . Maybe Poch is learning . He mentions here the difficulty of keeping players 'fresh' . Several posters have noticed our press being short of intensity at times this season .

Bah, he never shies away from a good excuse.

So do you think we are signing Aguero? dear me, that question went down well.

I like his comment that nobody owns a place in the team (bit after 5mins in), even Toby. Good clear message.

He does own that place though, but still....all about the team not individuals.

For those that can't see the video posted above.

I for one feel he is acting one way to the media and a different way behind the scenes. He is the captain of the ship so some blame is put on him for setup and performance, but his players also need to step up and convert chances.

We should have won and we dominated possession, but it is clear in his tone and wording that he isn't happy with the performance as a whole. Did we do enough to win? Yes. Did we deserve? Maybe. But we sure as hell could be playing a lot better.
