Mauricio Pochettino will not receive opposition from anybody at Tottenham Hotspur – least of all chairman Daniel Levy – over his assessment that trophies build egos and Champions League qualification and participation builds the club.

A fantastically balanced article. Thanks for posting.

''Wining the FA Cup is worth £6.6 million, while qualifying for the last 16 of the Champions League, which Tottenham have done under Pochettino this season, is worth around £70m.''
Eye opener....

Very well written article. A clear analysis of why we should be grateful for Daniel Levy's astute leadership.

brilliant piece - love this line:
Pochettino last week highlighted the stadium move as a huge factor behind Tottenham going so close without getting over the line yet and there has been bemusement behind the scenes for some time that the upheaval and associated costs of project are often ignored in the debate over silverware.

3rd in the league, in the last 16 of CL, semi of LC and still in FA Cup before an all ready terrible injury record gets absurdly worse.....lots to be proud of despite the losses etc.
