If he just concentrates on each game as it comes, then he doesn't have to chose whether to focus on the gap to chelsea or the gap to arsenal.
There need not be any conflict, except for the arsenal game where like last season, he may decide to settle for a draw even if it harms our slim title chances.

We need to AIM for NINE straight wins between now and the end of May. SAF would have had the Mancs trying to win every game. 9 wins = FA Cup and 89 Prem points, which may or may not be enough, but it would be a simply brilliant season.
This team is capable of beating anyone right now. We should forget about ( I know its very difficult) every one else and just focus on beating our next opponents

"If we look at the bigger picture, it's to try to reduce the gap with Chelsea. I think today it's not important, the gap we have with Arsenal.

Such a nonchalant way of saying what we all hope will happen and at the same time finally put to rest the arse anal's fans St Totteringham's Day expression.
Hopefully manure do us a favor this weekend and we are also able to beat the Cherries at home.

I really don't care about finishing above Arsenal.I care about trophies and doing as well as we can in the league. What if we finish above them in the league but they go on to beat us in the cup final? That would really suck.
