Putting words in his mouth, next year is world cup year so good idea to try to get things done before that, seems sensible.

I think Levy/Poch have a great relationship, look at the progress of the club over the past 4 years from all sides, we all wished it but none of us expected it. I agree we have to progress further but sensibly as we have to date. Nothing wrong in being aware that finances will be tight and to look at alternative approaches to the transfer market.

Barkley has to be signed in Jan, regardless of fitness - we cannot afford to let it become an auction for his services in the summer.

We also need to sign Sessegnon from Fulham and loan back to Fulham for the remainder of the season - then have him join us in early in the summer.

That way Rose can pull his head in if he wants a transfer.

I would also like to offer for Tammy Abraham from Swansea (on loan from Chelsea) - he has great potential - and is quick and tall meaning physically he has similar attributes to Kane and the size of Llorente - with a pre-season under his belt in the summer we would then have real cover up top (no disrespect to our up and coming youngsters - but we need further options up front who are Premier League ready).

I would look to sell Rose (assuming Sessgnon deal is done) and Sissoko - and would look to eek as much money as possible for the pair (75m?) which if the aforementioned transfer business was completed would mean quite a bit of money in the bank left over.

Barkley - 20m
Sessgnon - 35m
Tammy Abraham - 10m

Total - 65m.

We can do better than Abraham. Agree though that a young striker is the priority alongside one more attacking midfielder - ideally a pacy wide man. Zaha, say.

Personally I'd much rather Zaha than Barkley.

100% agree. Have to get 'good' business done early from now on.

Seasegnon is an absolute star in the making. He's a must buy.
Barkley would provide a good option centrally and still sounds likely.
Zaha would be a bonus. Adds a different threat to the team. Look at what Son did yesterday. Imagine that on both wings against the bus parking oppos.

We have all heard this kind of thing before and usually it makes fuck all difference with regards to our 'transfer policy'.

I'd love it to be true though of course...
