It was saved though?

It was, but as I said in the match thread I was right behind it from my view in the East Lower and the keeper was out of the game from the cross. Jansen had at least half the goal to aim at from a few yards out.

It was a bad miss by anyone’s standards.

"I think some people were wrong. Jesus [Perez, his assistant manager] showed me a tweet. He was injured and you [the media] said: “Why is he not involved?”. You jumped in a swimming pool with no water. But at that moment he was injured. Jesus shows me wrong things, things that are not true.
I think he's saying that Jesús draws his attention to instances of people talking bollocks and on this occasion someone in the media had tweeted something questioning why Janssen wasn't involved even though he was injured at the time.

My heart skipped a beat when the ball came across to him. I thought that would be his moment. The celebration would of been unreal, i am sure. The loudest the stadium would have ever been. I love Janssen :(

In 3 seasons he's played 30 games and scored 2 goals, there is no evidence to suggest he is what we need.

Uhhhh because we're supporters of Tottenham Hotspur? Unbelievable.

It is a shame that our other players don't get this undying folk hero love though

Players who are better in everyway, it's a funny thing

TRT Spor journalist Fatih Dogan has claimed Fenerbahce are close to announcing the arrival of Tottenham Hotspur forward Vincent Janssen.

Dogan has spoken on TRT Spor’s ‘Transfer Daily’ show and says Janssen will be re-joining Fenerbahce, as covered by Kramponlu Pisagor: “Fenerbahce held talks with Vincent Janssen and his representatives. He is coming back to Fenerbahce.”

The Turkish journalist hasn’t given any indication whether this will be a loan or a permanent deal but previous reports in Turkey claimed Fenerbahce are looking to land the Tottenham player for a cut price fee.

Last I heard was Real Betis were considering doing a deal involving him and some cash for Lo Celso.......He needs to move on now in the interests of everybody concerned.

Fingers crossed there is some truth to this. I really hope Lo Celso comes to us and it also solves the problem of unloading Janssen who, with his recent history of injuries and uninspiring performances on the field, is not exactly one who will sell easily.

To be honest I can't think what would be a cut price fee for a player we haven't had for two years and won't play if he stays anyway, It's a shame but any money will do.

Knowing us we’ll probably offer them £10 million and Janssen!

The link says his contract runs until the end of next season. Transfermarkt says the same and lists his market value as 8m Euro.

Cut price from that 8m or is 8m the cut price?

We'll probably go for the amortisation value to balance the books. £17m divided by years on the contract times how many years are left. Whatever that is.

Be nice to get Elmas in exchange really good prospect that would give us another option to go alongside hopefully Ndombele and another.
