If I had to guess (and of course, will now be proven wrong), this was leaked to Sky Italy (Romano) by someone close to Lyon because Aulas really really wants a bid from Juve, given that PSG have not been interested so far. Aulas has already previously begged Juve to bid publicly. Probably a source and a convo that Lyall was not privy to, putting aside the issue of Lyall making up his own sources and convos.

I just think it's going to be tough to get this one over the line before Citeh buy Rodri from Atleti. N'Dombele could fit Citeh like a glove. Provides different/complementary characteristics to Gundogan.

This is where we find ourselves now. We're trying to buy the top players and so we have to get used to it. There are bigger, richer players in the game so we have to work quick and smart. If we cant get one over the line, we move to plan b. The bigger clubs cant buy them all so we have to have enough players lined up that we get one of them.

My feeling is that this is our priority buy, whereas lo celso is our 'if eriksen leaves' buy. Could be wrong. I think we need both because we often lack the guile and creativity even when Eriksen plays.

What’s interesting is that Michael Bridge and Ally Gold are backing it up. Their sources are good (or have been in the past re: Bridge)

It actually feels like something is brewing. It’s been so long that I’d forgotten how that feels!

I hope this gets over the line, I dare say City & United are still stunned that Levy has made an actual transfer offer this early in the window.

I just hope our dear leader doesn’t agree a price only to try and knock £10M off at the last minute in exchange for 3 stadium tours and book of 2 for 1 vouchers for the Goal Line Bar :cautious:

Out of all the transfers this summer, this is the one I can see happening. We are so desperate for a central midfielder and we’ve identified this boy as the one. Levy knows he has to get him for the manager.
