I think people have a right to be cautious given the glaring weaknesses we have failed to address in previous windows. However this summer we have made one huge signing and it sounds like a couple more may be in the works. Should be cautious? Probably. Is it panic time? Probably not.

Don’t understand the pessimism at all. We signed no one last summer, and had horrendous injuries and a knackered squad, and were playing at Wembley - we still made the CL final.

This year we have replaced Dembele with a player that can play twice a week. We have Parrot pushing through and have Skipp looking like he could kick on. We have no major injuries currently and Davinson and Foyth are the only players that have not had the summer off. It looks very likely Eriksen and Toby are staying and we have ditched a bit of our deadwood. We will also be playing proper home games again.
