If Poch sees him as a reason why he may not push to bring in a new midfielder in January why didn’t he bring him on when we went up 3-0 and give him 25 minutes instead of 5 ?

My guess is he sees him as a player for 18 months time

We need new midfielders and full backs much sooner than that

After a little spat with Blake in the youth thread I had another look at his pre season performances. Tbh I forgot how good he looks there. I think he’s definitely ready for lower league cup games or even possibly a game like Burnley. The other thing I did as well was watch some old Scott Parker and it’s uncanny they are two peas from a pod so similar in style.

We should stop trying to come up with memes and songs. All roads lead to a shameful place...

Not a bad performance. Put himself about but think he has the same problem KWP has, the lack of size.. Needs to bulk up a bit more if he wants to play as a DM

It was a solid debut didnt let us down at all. Love to see him get a good run out in the Cup.

To be fair, a good game for Poch to ease him in. They were always going to play back.
Completely agree, I understand why Poch played him. Just based off this game don't think he's ready to be a legitimate member of the squad. Which is completely fine because he's 18.
