Could definitely be a chance for him with latest wanyama injury and 7 games in 20 days. Especially if need dier to drop into back 4 at anytime. Obviously never like seeing a player get injured but it’s exactly how bale and dele got their chances.

Still seems to be training with seniors. Wonder if white socks are on the horizon ? Would they do that mid season or only happens in summer.

Not the greatest of sources, but I read this earlier & it seems to believe the lad is pencilled in to play in the league cup against The Spammers at the end of the month.

Dele and Rose should be back meaning we will have 21 fit outfield players hopefully. Basically anyone that plays against city won’t play against West Ham. Be very interesting if he got a start ahead of say wanyama or sissoko. I think most likely is bench but he’s getting close.

I'm one that's never seen the lad play but, from what I've read about him, he doesn't sound far off at all & I'm excited to see what he's like.

Not sure why your post got a spam

Seen Skipp play a lot and obvious comparison is scotty Parker. I just hope he doesn’t get pigeon holed in that rigid DM role and isn’t allowed to express himself. I think he’s got a lot more about him than staying in a 20 yard box protecting the back 4 and playing sideways passes. There’s something a bit swashbuckling about him. And occasionally when he does break forward he looks impressive. Just hope he is given a bit of freedom to express himself and he could end up a real all round midfielder much in the mould of someone like Bryan robson.

Unfortunately never personally saw him play so wouldn’t like to comment. Just think it’s a shame those real box to box all action midfielders are a dying breed. It now seems acceptable you can earn your place in a midfield buy just breaking up play and playing sideways passes and that’s enough. You can tell it doesn’t sit well with souness lol.

Actually going over those available tomorrow it’s quite interesting if he is in 18. It’s not like we are desperate to make up numbers although it would give squad better balance. But as foyth has to be in squad it does mean Skipp will take a senior players place most likely llorente otherwise I can’t really see who.

Age shouldn't matter (not that you said so). If he is better than any one of the other players in his position, he should be picked ahead of them. That is my stance which unfortunately not a sentiment shared by most or Poch.

Skipp is the best young l have seen, better than Edwards
He makes quick decisions and always looking for that foward pass. I must say, lucky Amos is out injured, unfortunate it is for Amos, but he seem prefered by Poch

Yup almost been a perfect storm for him Onomah on loan Amos injured and now wanyama and Dier. But that’s exactly how bale got his break and dele was used probably earlier than planned.
