Skipp is the one I'd like to see break through (after KWP) as feel we are a bit weak at defensive midfield at present.

Dier can be a bit hit and miss and there's the debate if he should be playing further back and Wanyama seems a bit broken at the mo with his ongoing knee issues (and complete lack of form due to either the disruption or some underlying issue).

Well Poch did well with his first attempt of playing somebody young as a DM. Plays there for England now.
Maybe Skipp will do as well although he's younger than Dier was at that time, iirc.

I would love to see Amos and Skipp break through but the only reason they are being considered now is because we haven't bought any midfielders.

was very impressed with both Skipp and Amos, both done a sound job and definitely hope they are part of the very near future of Spurs. I do think there are games they can definitely be used in, and hope the preform as good as they have on tour. I know it was pre-season, but Roma and AC might of not exactly been full strength, but they were reasonably strong teams. also think Enomy? did a fine job at CB

I know Dier is versatile which is a great asset for us, but it's nice to see a young lad like Skipp play so much quicker than him. He seems to take the ball on the half turn a million times quicker than Dier

Hardly any young player, unless they're Hoddle or Messi category, force their way into a full strenght line up. A manager will seldom risk it on his own. Usually it will be opportunities due to injuries and having to impress when it first happen. That's main reason why our young players haven't got much chance recent years. The more depth, the less youth get their break. Ledley King at the time together with Simon Davies, needed us to have an injury crisis despite the older senior players were playing like shit. They improved the team and rest is history. If we had stacked our squad with 4 senior centre backs, he could just as well have missed his chance.

If Skipp played for Ajax Monaco or some other foreign club and we heard that we were interested in signing this talented 18 year old, we would be over the moon. Sometimes we already have the talent but don't recognise it as the grass always seem to be greener etc.

He's not 18 until September...and yes, he obviously has attributes some of his peers could do with trying to emulate.

Unsure if he'll go on loan or get a go around the squad. Either way, seems very promising...looks committed in everything.

It's only a matter of time before he's considered a 1st team player. Would like to see the following CM trio in the league cup game.

---Wanyama---
Winks --- Skippp
