Of course, probably needs a loan for a season.
I don't think that he does. He will develop far more by training and playing with top players in high pressure match situations. He is good enough to be in and around the match day squad without any doubt at all.

Winks is a better technician than Parker and he also is very quick. All they have in common is the turn they do, but Winks does it to rid himself of markers whilst parker just did it himself!
All based on the theory
that if I don't know
where I'm going
how can the opposition.
Worked for him.

But Winks is better
quicker feet and brain
and has a wider range of passing.

Skipp looks like James Acaster. Merry Christmas.

I think Amos is more attacking than Skipp. At Stevenage he was playing quite advanced and scoring. For me there’s something of the Bryan robson Paul ince about Skipp. I just hope he’s allowed to express that and doesn’t get stuck in a 20 yard box infront of the back 4.

Yeah I’d see Skipp as a more defensive midfielder (who does still have some nice passing in his locker) and Amos and Winks more box to box creative players that can play alongside him.

Although Winks is also quite flexible and can play sitting role so the three of them can probably interchange.

Exciting possibilities and imagine three of our first team squad midfielders being home grown in the near future ??? (with KWP hopefully breaking through at right back as well and Kane of course leading the line).

Repeating myself as said it loads of times so probably boring now, but so much more satisfying having team of players we’ve grown ourselves and also good for the national team. Shame more clubs in league don’t provide as much to national team as we do (and even then we get muppets like Adams saying before major tournament that they didn’t have winning mentality, lol the ingrate didn’t see his precious arsenal providing much!).

And as usual with our youngsters
we are comparing seasoned players
with youth.
Parker was over 30
when he came to Spurs
a seasoned international
with a long list of top Premiership clubs.
If Winks(22) and Skipp(18) are not better than Parker
when they reach their thirties
I will be a-mazed

Thought he did well tonight.

Played it a bit safe during the first half - imagine his stats were good; no. passes, pass completion etc but also reckon at least 90% of his passes were 5 yards sideways passes to Dele.

Once he relaxed in the second half I thought he was very impressive. Was much more positive and clearly has an eye for a killer pass.

I think he’ll have learnt far more this evening than he did in the procession v Burnley a couple of weeks ago. More to come from him I reckon.

Started off slowly, particularly in possession, but was superb in the second half. And even in that opening phase when he lost the ball a couple of times he was still excellent at winning the ball back.

The through ball to Llorente for our 5th was Eriksen-like. Line breaking passes like that are no an easy skill. Excellent to see Savage pick up on that in commentary and giving him praise.

Impressive performance.

Was excellent, especially second half. Was also really impressed with the other young lad. With wink they are like 3 clones.

Skipp runs just like another player who I just can't place at the moment. He has something of the Lampard about him maybe?

He reminded me of Scott Parker personally with his running, tackling and passing.

I thought he really grew into the game. He got caught a few times on the ball but seemed to learn quickly when and where he had the time to lift his head and look to pass the ball forward. His passing between the lines was impressive and his work rate to get in position to receive was equally so. I really like his tenacity in the tackle too. Really positive signs

Poch said it before after his full debut against Burnley, and said it again last night that he's an 18 year old that plays like a 30 year old. That's a hell-of-a compliment. Thought he did really well last night and he's only going to improve.

Yeah nice to see him get an assist. There was a posted moaning (obviously) the other week about him not having that “in his locker” so hopefully we will se a bit more of that once his confidence grows. If Poch wants him to be that far forward of course.

Lovely performance for an 18 year old, even normal improvement over the next 3 years and at 21 we have a proper player, injuries permitting.

Clearly has it in his locker, just needs to be confident enough to try it, which will come with more games.

I like the look of him. Tenacious, technical and has good positioning. Naturally has plenty to develop like his speed of thought and instincts, but I can see all the basics there, so will only get better and better.

He and Winks could be the Modric/Parker pivot everyone refers to for years to come.
