I don't think he was as bad all the time as people make out.
Sure, he had some stinkers, but others did too. When he did something decent, people refused to acknowledge it.
Then this season the good became more consistent and people started to see him for what Poch saw all along, a team player with a great work ethic and undeniable attributes.

He had a terrible touch and never showed for the ball..

Played so well Poch basically stopped playing him, you're right.

Do keep in mind this was the second half of the season where Winks didn't play a single league game in 2018 & Wanyama was crocked so out of 3 CM options for the rest of the season Sissoko only started 3 games.

Yet we had Dembele and Dier fit who where first choice all last year.

Plus Dele and Eriksen who where both deployed deeper at times last year.

Don't understand your need to be critical of him, when we had our first teamers all fit.

He's done exactly what he was supposed to do when he was signed, he has stepped up from a Squad player to first team player when getting a run of games and confidence.

Bit of a harsh assessment.

Absolute nonsense I am sorry. He played very well at times last season. Everton and Newcastle away in particularly. I remember it clearly.

I remember them as well and said do at the time although he wasn't as consistent as he is now.

On last night's evidence, I'd say Sissoko is a more effective midfielder than Pogba.

That guy is so bloody lazy. He effectively hid all night; strolling about the pitch when he needed to be making himself available to receive the ball. I'm amazed he is rated so highly. A one-game-in-five player shouldn't be valued this highly.

Another one to add to the list of highly overrated players, along with Benzema.

He's all hype and because he once in a while can play a very nice chip pass or cross field ball he somehow has become known as an amazing player. He's not consistent enough, his social media team and agent though are top notch.

I think he'll be okay.

The fact he came back on, i say he felt it tighten up and knew it wasn't worth risking. Hopefully back for the 1st leg.

Looked like the same groin injury he got against Man Utd. I think he only missed a game and was out for a week. So hopefully he will be back for Brighton, if not, West Ham.

He’ll be a big miss, especially if Dier isn’t back.

In years to come, everyone associated with Spurs will remember that moment when the VAR call came through, the goal was disallowed and we won on away goals. Well, nearly everyone...

Moussa will instead get to remember that moment when he had to ask why everyone else was celebrating...

"I was on the bench. I saw the goal for 5-3 and I was in such a state I went straight off to the dressing room. I was all on my own, no one had come with me, there was no tv on and I thought we'd been eliminated."

:joyful:

He's said he won't be back for City at the weekend but hopes to return next week.

Even if he's not fit for Brighton it implies he's not too worried about it being a major one
