I hope he builds off of last season and takes that newfound confidence to an even higher level. Should be interesting to see him in a midfield with Ndombele. Can you imagine those two playing with Dembele from two years ago in a three man midfield?? Holy crap. Each team's opposition midfield would need to be in traction for a week after getting ragdolled around by those three monsters!! 🤣

He has had a very good off-season fitness regime, he doesn't look like he will be giving up that starting 11 position easily and without a fight. Love to see that, he has made it into my Top 5 favorite players.

I'm very impressed with how much effort he has put in on his downtime, but if I can be a negative asshole for a minute I feel like he doesn't need much more focus on his athletic ability and over this pre-season I'd like to see him focus on improving his technical ability, speed of passing, technique on shooting, it shouldn't be that hard to keep a shot down for a professional footballer, especially when the type of shots he takes on are very similar situations so he could focus specifically on that type of movement. He has very few equals in terms of physical ability, he also has a great understanding tactically, great position and covers well. If he can just improve that technical side even a little bit, he would be an incredible dm.
