He was my MOTM right after Lucas.

Just look at the 5 minutes of the injury time. Our CBs were broken, Jan and Toby were so exhausted they could hardly run back in time when Ajax were still trying to score. In came Sissoko.

He's just like Thor, unbelievable strength and stamina even at this late into the match. He was trying so hard breaking down attacks after attacks in the middle for so long until he was called into duty for RB when Tripps went off. Yet he appeared at left side of the defence covering for Davies and Jan who had left a hole during the injury time when Ajax countered.

Then, nearer to the 5th minute of injury time, Son made a backpass to him. Without checking, he swept the ball up to Llorente who brought it down well enough for Dele to make a sumptuous pass to Lucas. The rest, as they said, was history.

From defence to attack, Sissoko contributed flawlessly in that monumental 5 minutes of injury time.

Hats off to him. He gives me so much confidence in the team despite the rest could be playing badly.

After the match he was wandering around in his base-layer; he's built like a tank!!

Was probably twice as big as most of our other players.

We need another beast to pair him up with in the centre of the park!

Still can't get over him.

Pretty sure he played in every position on Wednesday, he's just a machine:ROFLMAO:

His bursting runs with the ball from deep is something to behold too!

I’d love to know what the Newcastle fans who were laughing at us paying £30m think about him now.

Was curious when you mentioned it. Skimmed through posts about him and they still despise him.

Basically saying he is an expensive piece of hard working shite. The only reason he looks good is because we put him in a place where he can't fuck stuff up.

Fun fact. Wijnaldum and Sissoko were relegated with Newcastle and will now play CL final.

He has been absolutely brilliant this season - he has also gone from being my least liked player to being in my top 3 favorite players at the club. I'm still shocked.

How has he not won POTY?
Do you think that majority of those voting for Son are kids and Koreans?

Who did you vote for?
I missed it, I was on holiday and missed the email and the window to cast my vote (and the local elections)

I voted for Sissoko & it seemed most around where I sat did the same, because there was something of a surprise when Son's name came up.

Same as me. No one expected Son.

I would be very keen to know the voting demographic.
I do detest people who vote based on nationality and/or religion and not on actual performance.
At one point, I feared Bentaleb would one day get it just for being Algerian.

Any takers on his ability to play a DM role?

If he can then we could arguably fit Kane Son and Moura in a front line and Eriksen and Alli in midfield
