We should limit his attacking responsibilities. His touch is largely poor and his passing is inaccurate

Why not play him as a pure DM in a 3?

He does gets far too much stick, of that there's no doubt - he's never given anything other than 100% IMO, so plenty of the flack he gets is unfair.

However, as a CM with attacking responsibilities, I really don't see it at all. I'd prefer we played Onomah, let alone Winks.

I guess it just comes down to fitness...or at least I hope that's it
It really is just fitness, he played very little in a stretch between January and May in the league when he had our players healthy outside of Winks.

I don’t think he gets flak for his output as I think he has been giving his best in every game that he has played for us.

The problem is that his best isn’t good enough for the quality of player that we need, for a club that wants to target trophies each season.

Giving 100% but doing nothing is pretty pointless though.

The fact theres no video replay and a still image makes me think they're making something out of nothing and therefore nothing will come of this.

I said that on the 'news' thread. It's just the Sun that seem to be reporting it.

Not that they have a habit of making up stories that drum up hate for people who are easy target or anything...

They probably had a story already lined up about Spurs fans celebrating a 3 game ban for Sissoko

Yet, Dier gets game after game.

Not advocating for Sissoko btw, but don’t think agility is a requirement if Dier is getting every game their with Vic out.
Dier is not Messi, but he has a lot more lateral movement than Sissoko.

Sissoko is a battleship - he'll run in a straight line for you, but he is not changing directions.

We would play Amos in the role before Sissoko.

I don’t agree on the agility thing. They are both slow on the strafe/turn.

Amos...yes agree. Can’t be any worse.

According to Talksport, Moussa has confirmed he will not be leaving Spurs during the transfer window. If you read this, Moussa, and I probably think you do, start getting your shit togheter and play football. You look like a fragile little girl on her first date

Can't believe he is the 3rd fastest player in the PL !?

I don't want to knock him, as he's still a Tottenham player but his first touch and ball control is nowhere near PL level. For all the abuse he's getting, he always worked his socks off and seemingly Poch is happy with him in training.

Hope he don't stand in the way of Winks, Onomah, Amos or Skipp this season though

Might be his work effort that pays off for him. I know there's a good player in there somewhere, but he seems so afraid to mess up whenever playing for us. Instead of going forward, he tends to hault and play the ball back. Go forward, mous!

Everytime we played Newcastle i thought he looked good back then tbh - then his Euro cameos in which i thought the same...

There is a player in there, but it would be about time to show that

I think that’s more to do with max speed rather than acceleration, which tends to be more effective in football
