This is like when Rafa VdV left. A loyal player who had a real connection with the club and fans, and a damn good player too. I haven't felt this disappointed and sad about a transfer since Bale left

Sad to see the moose go as he was immense for us but £11 million is a cracking amount of money to be getting for him and he is clearly struggling in English league now.

Good move for him too, able to experience China and get a nice juicy salary near end of his football career.

I feel sick that he didn't get the chance to play at our new stadium, absolutely gutted to see him go, all the best to him.

maybe we'll grant a testimonial for him though its only been 6/7 years.

anyway good for him, hope he enjoys the mountains of Chinese gold he'll be getting

If Darren Anderton doesn't get one then neither does Moose.

Nah....I hope Daws gets something like that when he finishes his career and then Mousa can turn up to play here again. ;)

FANTASTIC PLAYER - will be missed but on balance and to be fair to him as a person probably (just) the right thing to do given contract situation.
I was at the lane for his debut and just been watching again on the various clips doing the rounds.

All the best to him and look forward to a suitable replacement being found!!!!
(Hopefully in next couple of weeks) - hope springs eternal and all that.....

Elegant and colossal, skillful and powerful, 83% take-ons completed and 81% tackle success - he was a player of contradictions and a unique skill-set. He was frustrating on one hand because with his ability, I always felt he was playing with the brakes on; and on the other, it was a pleasure to watch a player dominate and toy with his midfield opponents.

Thank you, Mousa.

Kind of like Sandro, I feel like we got shafted from seeing a truly incredible player as a result of injuries.

Sandro, pre that awful injury away to QPR, was well on the way to being one of the best destroyer-type midfielders in the PL. Such a shame.

To a lesser degree and for obviously different, very tragic reasons, the same could be said about Palacios. He was awesome for six months.

And now two colossal midfielders, in Dembele and Wanyama, have had their careers curtailed by injuries. We've had awful luck with CMs since we sold Modric.
