How would we ever see this coming though?!
Well Sissoko has played every game since the 8 game of the season including Xmas games and champions league games so he was due an injury and dembele has been injury prone for some time so it was kind of foreseeable.

He was being sarcastic.

I suspect there was a hint of sarcasm there....fucking hope so anyway

Selling Dembele and not immediately replacing him with a CM who can challenge for a starting spot would be completely suicidal. Even with Sissoko and Dembele fit we’d need at least 1 more CM, weakening the worst part of our squad whilst it’s in the middle of a injury crisis is a ludicrous thought that I unfortunately suspect Levy is strongly considering.

If Dembele goes and Sissoko is injured for more than a couple of games then Levy & Poch simply have to take the plunge and throw a ton of cash at one of their prime targets. I understand why Levy doesn't want to pay agents and I agree with Poch not wanting gap fillers but if there is cash available and it is indeed a squad space issue then Levy has to give in.

Even with Kane out and Son away, if someone came in with a bid for Llorente you know Levy would sell and very likely not replace this winter. Expecting us to replace Dembele with anyone other then Skipp is on par with expecting scarlett johansson to turn up on your doorstep tonight with a copy of last Tango In Paris on dvd and a tub of Flora.

Time to block all calls to China and get someone to sabotage Outlook and the fax machine.

As much as I'd love him to stay according to some ITK he was promised all the help for a very good deal to finish his career with. China seems to be the place as they pay good wages and will not be as strenuous as the EPL.
Wish him all the best and would welcome him back, if he wants to come back, to work with our youth players.

When everything clicked for Mousa Dembele he was world-class, smooth as an 80's hit song with the ball at his feet. It's been a joy seeing him in lilywhite. Wish him the best.

Now for a more pressing matter - surely this means were looking to bring in a CM this window? (...and please spare me the optimistic ratings :shifty:)

There are photos of DB with Spurs fans all over the place out here in China
One photo the Spurs fan was also at Hong Kong airport and stated he's on another flight to Beijing- that was Monday AM UK time

Sad to see him leave but it's absolutely the right decision for both sides.

Good luck to him. He'll go down as a bit of a legend in my eyes and at his peak he was absolutely unplayable.

Glorious footballer.
