Is Ndombele actually that good?

Few times I’ve seen him, he’s looked decent but certainly not brilliant and not worth £60m+.

Not that seen much of him but from the little I have seen, I much prefer Amoudou Diawara at Napoli and Denis Zakaria looks decent too.

Diawara seems to be very talented and is apparently available for about £35m which is far more reasonable.
I am very big on Ndombele but if he's being floated for 60-80m I don't think it matters my own onions, we ain't hanging with the other teams in that shopping bracket. Diawara I like a lot but he's hardly played (also only has one int. cap so may not qualify for clearance unless he has some hidden relatives). I have seen a lot hype Zakaria but I've not seem him play much so I defer there.

Like Eriksen, Dembele's skillset is irreplaceable imo, we need players of similar talent with different skills to reshape the squad with.

As good as Sissoko has been this season, we absolutely should be looking at cashing in this summer while he's in good form and actually using the money toward a top midfielder like Ndombele to replace Dembele.

Nobody would touch Sissoko last summer, reckon we would have struggled to give him away for nothing.
No chance we will sell him after this season’s improvement. Knowing us, we’ll probably give him a new contract instead!

Will be sad to see him go but it's been coming for a while so good luck to him. I am concerned about our lack of depth in midfield though.

Long time reader, first time poster.

The exit of Dembele is a sad one. A player that has been with us for a long time (surely one of the longest in the current squad) and arguably a player that the team has grown beyond, physically if not in terms of quality. I still think that he would have been an asset if used sparingly from now until the end of the season. We still have a lot of games to play and Dembele could have offered plenty in quite a few of those, if not every game.

No doubt he will leave with the goodwill of Spurs fans even if he probably hasn’t had the statistical output he maybe should have over the years.

If we can’t get a replacement I would keep him for the rest of the season. Winks and Sissoko will collapse soon. Even a half fit Dembele for the last 30 mins of a game to tighten things up is better than nothing.

We are obviously weakening the squad if he doesn't get replaced for 9m.

I'm sure Dembele would stay until the summer
Yep, we cannot rely on Winks, Sissoko and Dier for every game until the summer.

Winks and Sissoko got dominated yesterday and there's a long way to go yet.

Lol at people saying we have outgrown Moussa Dembele

Sissoko, Winks, Dier, Skipp.....there is definitely room for a fit Moussa Dembele to play a key role in the rest of this season. This time last year he put in a 6-7 game spell of football that was the best of his career

He has had a bad ankle injury but if that is healed I would keep him - he can do a winks job from 2 seasons ago coming on to control the tempo in the last 20 mins which could be invaluable

I am not entirely sure he would - but I don't know the rules around China's transfer window(s), and foreign player spots.

I think this is his only real opportunity for a big payday - and it won't necessarily be there in the summer.
