As FIFA would say - ‘has that something special’. Looking forward to him continuing to settle in this team..

It's interesting that what he's generally given us so far is goals and a goal threat when he's always struck me as much more of a creative/supporting type of player.

He had 19 goals in all competitions his final season in Paris.

I'd still like to see a game where we have him stay stuck to the right touchline and go at a fullback all game. But that doesn't seem to be in Poch's plans.

He posted this on his twitter account:

Two years ago, at Camp Nou, the improbable happened, and I came out crying from the stadium. It was practically the end of my trajectory at the PSG. Today, on the same stage, it happened again the unlikely, but today I come out crying for joy...

Can't help but be disappointed by what I've seen from Moura. Obviously he's scored some important goals and he works hard, but I was hoping he was going to be our x factor player, but in fact he doesn't really seem to dribble past players, and neither his first touch nor his passing seem particularly good. Also he doesn't really seem to link into the team pattern at all - which obviously could improve with time - but overall I'm not sure he's really the answer to what was missing from our attacking line up.

Don’t agree at all that he doesn’t seem to dribble past players... He seems to do that literally every time he gets the ball.

I definitely see where your coming from with the passing, and the complete lack of assists speaks volumes.

But disappointed? Did you see his impact in the Barcelona game? He’s a player that we have been crying out for in our squad for ages- he’s not a regular starter, but he’s exactly what we need.

Scoring at a rate of 1 in 3 games this season. (Prem + Champions league)

This from a player who is playing in his first full season in a new league. He's played LW, RW, AM and SS.

At the price we paid and the fact that as you rightly state he works hard and has scored some important goals, I'm feckin delighted with his acquisition, disappointed doesn't even enter the equation for me.

Even when he hasn’t played well I don’t think we should underestimate his influence. He’s added such a valuable tool to our attack and definitely stretch’s and worries opposition players which we have lacked other than sonny.

We are now able to rotate without concern for lost quality. It has also pushed moussa further back as we no longer rely on him as our pace option. Hoping Moura picks up his end product but he’s already scored some big goals and I think the players like him which is important.

He’s certainly gone off the boil the last month. The mazy dribbles have completely disappeared. Currently absolutely nowhere near the level of Son. It’s a shame as I really thought after PSV away he was the real deal. I think it was PSV might have been inter. But that was the game I thought yeah. So no idea what’s happened maybe he’s one of those Brazilians that doesn’t like winter.

He’s good for us. Offers pace and trickery. Has a great team and work ethic. As a starter or bench option he gives us the attacking depth we’ve often missed. Because of his pace, defenders are often preoccupied with him, keeping them from advancing forward to support attacks. He’s a brilliant player to bring on in the last 25 minutes of a game against tired legs, and his goal against Barcelona (and goals against Utd) suggest he enjoys the big games- that’s the sort of mentality Poch loves

Don’t agree about the dribbling, it’s his best asset ( although he’s done it less effectively in the last month). Totally agree with you on the highlighted part of your post though. For a Brazilian player who can dribble so well his first touch is poor and his passing isn’t great.

He’s a good player to have in the squad, but I always feel the attack gels better when he’s not playing.

I think he has done well.... Yes there is room for improvement but so far he has contributed and offers us something else.

Is there something wrong with his fitness? I know he wasnt great yesterday, but in general, I cant think of too many occasions where he has completed 90 minutes?

He has had a pretty good season so far and is an important squad player. You can't help feeling that there could be a lot more to come from him which is a little frustrating.

Not sure what you lot are expecting from him? He's a good player in his first season for us and has got some important goals. Not our best player but he doesn't have to be. For £25m he was a bargain.

Depends what we are targeting. I’ll reserve my judgement till end of season. Would he get in City squad no, would you take him over shakiri right now no earlier in season probably. Basically lamela and him are the first line replacements. Right now I’m undecided if he is good enough as a rotation player in a team with title aspirations. Will judge end of season.

How is there even a debate here, he’s been a fantastic signing.
Good pace, skill, work rate, attitude, can play in multiple positions, has scored important goals, stretches teams, enables us to rotate our front 3 properly now, gets on well with the team and can only get better as he continues to adapt. Fantastic signing.
