In Hong Kong last night at an open training session Walker was very much part of the group with banter and high jinx.

Kane sat out and talked to Poch for nearly half an hour

Was just going to post similar. There's footage of Walker, Son, Davies & Wimmer at a school doing a challenge, and Walker's 100% committed to what he's been asked to do for the club. It's all laughs, smiles and messing around. A player who isn't mentally happy at the club wouldn't show those signs.

Really want him to stay, mainly because I like having somebody around that has been here since we were a bit naff and has grown with the club. Helps that he is a very good right back.

I still hold out some hope he'll stay, best RB in the country. I'm fairly comfortable that if he goes, with Trippier already in situ, Walker-Peters on the periphery, and a big wedge of cash, we'll be fine, but ideally I'd rather keep the squad together.
Same goes for Wimmer really, if he can get more comfortable at LCB in a 3, keep him.
Minimal disruption, maintain continuity, and just fine tune elsewhere.

RB. Walker, Trippier, Walker-Peters
LB. Rose, Davies, Sessegnon?
RCB. Alderweireld, Carter-Vickers
CB/DM. Dier, Wanyama
LCB. Vertonghen, Wimmer

Flexibility there, in Walker-Peters and Sessegnon could play higher up the pitch at times to help bed them in under less pressure, equally I think Walker and Davies could slide over to RCB and LCB respectively if needed.

Can't help but think keeping him, along with our other key players, sends a message, that we are no longer a club the likes of Chelsea, Utd and City can pick off. If he desperately wants to go, we'll be fine, but keeping him with so much media hype from those clubs, definitely makes a strong stance.

If Walker thinks he's going to have things his own way a bit more with Guardiola compared to Poch he's going to have a shock.

Good luck to him. He's been a good servant for the club, a good player, but I think him going just strengthens Poch's position as THE man at Tottenham.

unless city are paying a higher fee than has been mentioned I would be really shocked if this deal was announced anytime soon

This thread isn't really the place for it but I have a strange feeling Kane could be made captain within the next year or two, even with Hugo still here.
Kane is effectively the captain now, and the refs call him over when they want to make a point.
Lloris is the ceremonial captain.

Walker has been here a good while, and maybe it is a point of grievance that he has never had a look in - maybe his ambition is to regularly captain the side. We fans know little about our players' character, but somehow I don't think we have lost a future captain here, if he chooses to leave. Is that harsh?

Kyle Walker as captain! - cheers for giving me a good laugh whitesocks although I know you weren't advocating it.
Not sure whether Kyle has worked out which way around to sit on a toilet yet, let alone implement any tactical instructions from Poch!.

Yeah, because messages from the coaching staff during the game can only be given via the man wearing a piece of cloth on his arm. It is known.

A bit baffled by this current need to bash Walkers intelligence, abilities and character.

Its only light heated banter, and am sure he is the butt of jokes in the dressing room. I would love Kyle to stay, but fear he is off. People need to stop taking stuff so seriously on here.

This is one of the players I have most enjoyed watching at Spurs. In tandem with Danny Rose he has provided some real excitement as I have watched. With his flaws I still think he is a great full back and see exactly why Pep would want him and maybe why he would like to play in an all out attacking side
