I don't know if any of you have watched Kubrick's 2001, but the last half hour of that film when all sorts of crazy shit goes down, well fuck me if this thread hasn't become at least as challenging as that

As much as I'm fond of Walker for his athletic and defensive ability I did feel we could improve in the area as his crossing was poor for someone who was going to mainly be playing as a wing back - you need both wing backs to be able to stick some nice crosses in the box and Walker sometimes slowed down play with his delay to whip it in (ooooh eeer).
Trippier has far better creative ability that adds another string to our bow when trying to break teams down, it's just about whether he can continue to improve his defensive capabilities with a long run in team.
That being said I'd still be quite happy if Walker stays, but he does need to work on his crossing a lot.
It will also be interesting to see what happens here if Walker does go - will KWP be given a shot? Or what kind of replacement would we bring in who would not only need to be able to step in but not block the progress of KWP potentially making break through in the near future.

I would never sell Walker to an English club, it would strengthen them and weaken us. If he wants to go sell him toTurkey or Greece or Liechtenstein ffs, Not Man City.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but bear in mind Poch, Kane and Alli have all publicly confirmed they'll be here next season.
One of SC's own spoke with Walker after the WHL finale match, and he wouldn't confirm he's staying or the stuff in the press was nonsense.
Plus it's not just the media, several ITKs including JJ have said they reckon he's leaving.
I'm all for a bit of hope (DL could still block a move if he isn't getting a good deal), but so far there's been so much smoke there has to be fire.
