Trip has always been a brilliant professional at whatever club he has been at, so for you to be like that because of one bad season ain't fair.

I keep replaying the Spurs TV moments he had with Wanyama, especially the lie detector one, and I feel sad for him.

Was never a personal favourite but gave it all despite whatever limitations he had. Good luck Trips. I for one will miss you and your "give the ball to other team mates" finger-pointing..

I don’t get the vitriol against Trippier, he signed cheaply, he was good in parts, poor in parts, but has been professional as well as a regular in our most successful side in many of our lifetimes, and has now left for 10 times his initial signing fee. I’m glad he’s left, in my opinion there’s three players currently at the club with higher ceilings but I also think he deserves a bit more respect than he’s getting.

I don't think for a second that anyone around here thought it would be impossible to upgrade him. But thanking him for his time here, and the way he conducted himself, and wishing him the best for the future is hardly 'sucking his dick'. Actually a pretty good player, who just happened to have a very poor season. He wasn't alone last year.

This is an incredible move for him really, will be playing for a great club in a 3 team league. Will have CL footie and will be in a fantastic city. He must be excited and I hope he does well. I'm not his biggest fan but he had a hard act to follow in Walker so no ill feeling. He always gave his best so I wish him luck.

Actually think La Liga will suit him better to be honest. Think he will do well there and from his point of view that’s a top move going to a club like Atletico.
