I think hes a very good player on form, but in the first leg of the semi final and in the final he seemed more intent on going down rather than his job of making sure the man didnt get through, when he pretended he got hit in the face during the final I was ashamed he was wearing our shirt, he should have been more concentrating on making sure the player never got past.

In the second half against Ajax when he concentraed on playing he was one of the worlds best

As long as he gets himself fully fit, I'm not against him staying.
We need to get our midfielders as a priority.

There still is the issue that he’s been carrying a groin injury all season.

If that is actually resolved during this summer he could well get back to his better days and could well be worth keeping over Aurier.

I’m dubious of getting rid of both unless we have an absolutely top drawer right back lined up and Poch didn’t really blood KWP enough this season for my liking.

I want Tripps sold but who the hell do we replace him with? Only ones that come to mind are:

AWB - we wont pay the crazy fee
Aarons - doubt Norwich would sell now that they are in the prem
Semedo - reports are that Barca arent going to sell him now
Meunier - been linked with Arsenal and Utd

I cant think of any other realistic good RBs that could come in and do a job.

Honestly, pretty much anyone.

I think the fact that so many names came to mind is part of the reason we aren't too urgent on this (alongside the fact we still own 3rbs). Whereas, the centre mid position is one where there may not be too many good options beyond our first choice.

Why would we willingly sell a first choice player even if he hasn't been that good this season, it makes no sense.
Something very odd happened in the semi-final of the WC - he was carted off in what was then the biggest game of his life, leaving England with 10 men.

These things happen, but he had a responsibility to the club to then take it easy and fly back for assessment ASAP.
Instead he somehow managed to play in the meaningless 3rd/4th playoff. I dread to think how he did this.

I would imagine the club would have instructed him not to play. Yet he decided that this game was far more important to him than his recovery for our season. I think his fate was sealed at that point.

I'd be perfectly OK with him staying. One below par season doesn't/shouldn't mean you're written off. A good pre-season, start the new year fully fit, get some confidence back and who knows where he'll be. The same could be said for a few others too, really.

We should be urgent though. As others have pointed out he costed us too many goals last season. We seem to be prioritising the midfield area first which is fair enough. Hopefully after that we will get round to sorting out the right back spot.

Word is he doesn't want to leave England but surely anyone would be tempted by Juve. You're practically guaranteed to win the Scudetto, you get to play alongside Ronaldo, the food is amazing and you're playing under one of the greatest coaches of all t...

...sorry got a bit carried away there.

Anyone trying to defend him clearly haven’t watched us much this season lost count how many goals he cost us .... wolves away .... city at home .... Chelsea away .... that’s just of the top of my head! Also every single team targets him now champions league final first ball straight out to his side. We need to sort right back big time

I wouldn't be against keeping him as second choice, if we brought in someone as definite first choice, but I don't think he's good enough to be our go-to right back for big games.

He's also not getting any younger, so if we do receive a large offer for him as is being suggested then I'd wish him well and take the money. I'd also happily sell Aurier too and keep KWP as our second choice RB if it allows us to get someone very good in as first choice.
