I see something in Aurier but you may be right. The one thing I'm sure we both agree on is Trippier shouldn't be starting important matches next year. He's part of the problem. We need to replace one or both of Trippier and Aurier if Aurier doesn't come good.
I’d sell both but sadly it looks like both will be here next season

Agree completely BC. I think that people look at Aurier and more so Walker as great defenders because they have the ability to recover at pace and make spectacular looking last ditch sliding tackles. I also think they ignore the fact that they have to do this because they are often so badly positioned in the first place. Trips doesn't make anywhere near the same number of stupid decisions that Aurier and Walker make/made though with rash tackling in the box and suicidal passing in and around our own area.
As I've said before until they make it illegal to be quick I'm happy for Walker to use his pace to defend. Having a go at players using their pace is just a tired trope. However in this instance, I don't think Aurier is quick enough or good enough to do this, unlike Walker. In fact Walker rarely gets caught out nowadays. Trippier however does get skinned a lot.

LOL I'm not. I'm saying he has to because his decision making and positioning is not good enough.

Only on one condition, which is upto Poch

I have seen KWP play 90 minutes once so I know Poch has a much better view of what is going on in the world of RB at the club. But I would like to think that I can also spot a bit of talent here and there and with the likes of @IGSpur @WindyCOYS @Spurzinho and others ranting and raving over the kid, I will be dumbfounded if Poch decides to not move forward with giving him a shot.

The idea that he started at Newcastle and then has gone MIA is maddening and makes me really feel for the kid. That picture of him on the plane looking at his MOTM award made me shed a tear a bit and his quality was on full display. His dribbling? Possibly the best on the team from what I have seen.

Beating a dead horse as we all know he has the physical tools to outshine the likes of Tripps and Serge if given a real go, but maybe we are mad since Poch sees him everyday? What gives? If he is sent on his way, I would need a full explanation from Poch as that would just scream ego and favoritism.

Thing is he didn't only start against Newcastle he was MOTM to boot. Should have had more chances especially in the cups

Only IF he signs a new contract

Sad situation, is after having wasted a season here. If he doesn't commit another few seasons, he won't get a chance in preseason to prove himself, and therefore will likely not get any chances next season and waste another until his contract runs down. What kind of way is that to treat a kid trying to come through and start his career.

Other option is sign and trust the manager, get some preseason games, still maybe not play next season and be tied even longer to the club. Damned if you do damned if you don't

Seeing TAA playing CL semifinal and now final for Liverpool makes me jealous. This might sound crazy but I genuinely believe that KWP is better than him and to see him stuck behind Trippier and Aurier makes me sad

Poch called him 'one of the best English players', don't think he will be going anywhere soon. In our system we need 2 fb's both sides, I would happily keep him, even if its just for lower prem team games, his had more assists than Fabregas, Hazard and Mata this season and played less games. Our 4th highest assist maker this season, after another big scapegoat Ben Davies.

I’ve said this sooo many times but it’s time to leave. He’s given his all but he can’t develop more, KWP deserve to play

Neat and tidy player but he isn’t good enough for the level we strive to be at. He’s a good rotation option

He’s limited and that isn’t going to change. Decent but not quite at the level required

But his limitations are less in offensive terms than any other RB in the PL. what ever limitations he has are primarily defensive, which rarely actual manifest into anything tangible, we dominate most games - possession and territorially - and even against the top teams, in the last 12 or so months, since he started playing regularly, we’ve beaten Chelsea (away), Arsenal twice, ManU twice, Liverpool, Real Madrid, with him in the side.

I really don’t see us easily upgrading Trippier with a player who will provide what he does offensively and be a much better defender.

I think KWP has the potential to be a better player, but I don’t really see an obvious purchaseable solution and Aurier sure as shit isn’t a better overall solution, which has become clear to Poch.

Move on Aurier, and promote KWP. Sad for me to say that.

If you watched yesterdays game, he got the ball out wide, stopped, looked up and then came backwards or sideways. Never does he picked the ball up and run at his opponents.

Why does he need to take on players?

He's been our most/only creative player over the last two games without being able to beat a man.

KWP Edwards Griffiths Onomah wanting these players to start at the top level is lunacy and as long as we have a sane manager it is not going to happen but maybe they can improve over the next year enough to earn a start here and there.I call the call for these youngsters to start the Taarabt syndrome as there are many who post on here who would have had him play above more experienced seasoned players . If these youngsters have the right mentality and are willing to work hard they will get there chance in the end.
I have seen every home game and four away games and Triippier has been either superb or good or average and only once bad and that was against city so he is not alone.I say Trippier is fine for us but if we can get someone better then so be it but in the meantime its Tripper for spurs and England
