Haha but just one more thing on height .Id hazard a guess that maybe after wba we have tallest 1st xi which makes our lack of success from corners even more shocking

How funny would it be. Man City sign Walker for 40m+ and Trippier ends up being Englands no1 right back next season

Well done to Tripps. I do have my reservations about him but hopefully this call up does a lot for his confidence.

Seriously, I think he is one of the best wing back in attacking ability. You don't really need pace if you can cross like tripp. If he can improve his defensive ability (like in the united goal) , he will be one of the best right back in the world

No doubt he has a wand of a right foot. He just never inspires confidence defensively imo. That could change with a good run of games though.

Poch will coach the shit out of Trippier and he will be better than Walker.

Think he has alot to do over the summer, physical conditioning as well as defensive coaching to get up to walkers level.
He isn't younger or anything either.

We'll see how it unfolds

Pace is vitally important to the way we use our wing backs when we're at our very best.

He's been excellent towards the end of the season, but I'd be concerned if we didn't replace walker.

A well deserved call up following recent form. The supply line to HK may be in Southgates mind as well for combinations on the England stage.

Well done Kieran

And well they should.

I'm not English, but from the outside looking in it looks like they should be doing everything they can to get the most out of their two best players in Kane and Dele. The first part of Southgate's strategy should be regarding maximising their output and Trips could be a massive part of that.

I think both Trppier and Davies have stepped considerably this season. Well done Trippier on your first cap call up
