Wouldn’t be surprised if he had a falling out or disagreements with coaching staff and/or teammates, he made so many fuck ups last season how could he not have been called out on it?

If you were Poch surely you’d have been pretty livid with him all season..

Wouldn't be surprised if a couple of players got annoyed with him after he gave both Winks and Foyth a dressing down for his own mistakes.

It may just be a disagreement between him and Poch in regards to his defensive duties. Who knows...
This, his attitude was wrong last season imo, too quick to shout down others for mistakes yet often making several himself. Disappointing really because initially I was a big fan of his. Glad to see the back of him now, a good time to sell

Trippier recognised he was performing poorly on multiple occasions.

I guess it depends on what was going on at training.
Its good that he could say he had poor performances, but he would need to show Poch, the coaches and his team mates that he was trying to improve in those areas.
No point in holding your hands up and say 'my mistake' if it's going to keep happening.

I bet the ‘unrest’ was down to his poor defending that directly led to several key goals conceded - probably didn’t like being called out on it.

"Behind the scenes" could've been an explicit instruction to not score an own goal when passing back to your keeper.

Either say what happened or say nothing at all don't give a half and half of "oh something happened behind the scenes"

Yeah, it was like he was caught in two minds.

You could sense he wanted to go on the attack, but equally he understood why it might be sensible to hold back.

Ultimately, he did neither effectively, to the detriment of Tottenham, its manager and players.

All very much like his form last year really.

I always felt he tried his best, but playing the whole season with an injury is going to affect your performance. He says now he has had a break, he's finally fit. I can't help wondering if he had had a decent break after the World Cup, things might have been different.

I'm sure we will find what happened out as soon as Rose and a microphone are within 4000 miles of each other.

It was a concern at the time that he should never have played in that 3rd place play off. Was then plagued with groin injury all season.
