I agree that Trippier wasn’t bad or amongst the worst performers in the NLD but if we look throughout the season, he and Aurier are not good enough for a team that really wants to provide a challenge for the PL title.

I’m keeping my options open for KWP and I would like Poch to give him more playing time on the right of defence, just like how he has played trippier and Aurier. KWP is primarily a RB but keeps being played on his weaker left side in most games that he has played in for the senior team.
Agree with this.
Trippier is NOT a bad player at all BUT he is NOT at the required level we would need him to be for us to win the league, fair play to him and Poch for improving him since he came from Burnley but he’s reached his ceiling and really he should be at a top 10 club not one who has aspirations of winning the league, also his shit tattoos always -1 off his match day rating from me ;)

KWP May be ok in time, I actually really like Aurier but Poch doesn’t seem to really trust him, and Poch is the fullback whisperer so he’ll know if he’s signed a dud or not.

Let’s break the bank to get Wan Bisakka and Chilwell.

Mute function has made this thread glorious for me

Awesome, now you can just read a load of negative posts that agree with you and ignore statistics and facts.

Well done on bumping the thread with that fucking bombshell btw.

I've never put anyone on ignore, and doubt I ever will.
Were all Spurs fans and after all, it's just internet opinions. If you block someone, you could miss something worthwhile that they say another day.
But that's just my onion.

I just get annoyed when people chat absolute shit, so that's why I use the ignore button, the only shame is that you can't do it in real life.

I have about 11 or 12 people on my ignore list. Half of whom I'm not sure even post here anymore, but I don't want to risk tempting fate by un-ignoring them...

The handful of people I have on ignore never contribute anything worthwhile.

I understand why people do it, maybe it's just that I'm a nosey sod and want to know what everyone's saying, good and bad. That and my strange sense of humour!

You realise he won't see your response ?

I do, not that bothered tbh (it was a slightly ironic quoted reply).

Do find it quite odd that I'm lambasted for defending a Spurs player though tbh. (When I put someone on ignore it's usually because of a number of reasons)

He's definitely the forum scapegoat of this season. Guess time will tell who stays and who leaves with regards to what Poch and the rest of the club feel though...I'm quietly confident he'll still be here next season.

Maybe it’s because I don’t engage as much these days so I probably don’t get as riled up as other posters who interact more, but even the irrational or outlandish posters are entertaining to read. I really miss spursmanchris for example haha.

I'm not a Trippier fan by any stretch but you're quite within your rights to defend him if you want to.

My personal view is that both he and Aurier will leave over the next 18 months to make way for KWP and another more athletic option. This season has proven that Poch's system does not work not nearly as well without athletic and pacy fullbacks and Aurier does not seem to have taken his chance.

It’s not that you’re defending Trippier.

It’s the fact you then have to resort to constant neg ratings or sarcastic funny ratings on any posts against Trippier and you then also go into Aurier and KWP threads and are negative about them.

Maybe cut the silliness with the ratings and argue a bit less aggressively and people will not take the piss so much.

People in this forum are also entitled to state if they don’t feel Trippier is up to each it without you getting on their back, it’s what a forum is for, just let it go (although I agree people shouldn’t make personal comments about players).

I find this thread both amusing & pathetic.

Here we have a player who wears the crest of our club, and he's come out & admitted that he's not performed as well as he could've done, and has done previously. But he's still the target of belittling comments & put-downs.

Yesterday, a guy who has been in equally uninspiring, limp form (Eriksen) comes out and says questions about form and performances are "bullshit" and yet he's praised and proclaimed as being made a scapegoat by ungrateful fans who are incapable of appreciating what he's previously done for the club.

There's nothing like a bit of consistency in the fanbase, is there.
