Maybe his ego became inflated and he thought he was in command of the club. I hear Dele refers to him as "Goalpost head" as well. Let's hope he doesn't disappear for good.
Wait... what?

I literally don't have a clue what this post means.

Wimmer is top drawer, he will get plenty of games this season.

I really hope he is deployed as right side CB as well as left sided though (if Toby is rested/injured)

As a young cb, he is up there with the best. John stones has nothing on big kev

Obviously Jan and Toby will have to be rotated given the CL and other cups. The question is whether we will see Dier as the third choice CB with Dembele and Wanyama as the CM pair or whether Wimmer holds the 3rd CB slot.

Wimmer v Vertonghen is also going to be a debate going forward, not just a 3rd CB i see him competing with Vert if not then taking Vertonghens place.

Yeah, I think he is clearly ahead of Jan. His passing from the back is even if not better. His heading is better. He is stronger when battling for possession. Overall he is just better.

There's no question when it comes to Dier v Wimmer at cb. I just hope he isn't pigeon holed into a left cb only

Muscle injury... Was at the ground yesterday and not in the match day squad, he warmed down with the unused players.

I think he takes us into attack more effectively than Jan.

There were times yesterday where I was screaming for Verts to go storming forward with the ball but he just turned around and passed it back to Lloris.

If it wasn't for Jan's Belgium and Ajax understanding with Toby, I think Wimmer would be pushing hard for starts if we were looking at it on an individual basis.

We've never been so spoilt for choice in quality.

Verts looked lazy and slow again yesterday. It's basically always Toby who saves the day now and I think Verts relies on him to do the busting a gut runs into the box, so he doesn't have to. It used to be Verts who did that. Once Wimmer is fully fit, I could easily see him taking the spot at LCB. Faster, better feet, stronger, less prone to fouling and less prone to really obviously wrapping his arms round people in front of the referee (unlike Verts).

Bit harsh on Jan, I agree he is the weaker of the two Belgians but still a very good player. Credit to Wimmer for his role last season, will hopefully be a very good player for us in the years to come.

I accepted this Muscle injury stuff until he was named in the Austria squad. Why would he have been allowed to go on international duty if he was injured?

Didn't play though... He's close to returning and back in full training.
You surely don't take an injured player on international duty, and Wimmer doesn't play usually anyway.

Where have you heard this info though?

They may have wanted to assess him themselves, NTs certainly do that. Pretty sure it said he'd travelled to Stoke on the Beeb preview for yesterday, doubt he'd be doing that if he was in any way frozen out given the way we've handled players under Pochettino.

I hate that too. Really fets on my nerves at times. Jan doesnt seem comfortable on the turn and always opts to play safe and pass back.
