Boy is very special some immense bits of skill for a centre half too

I think he probably needs to play ahead of Toby now as we know Toby is off

Fantastic performance from Foyth tonight, strong (unlike Sanchez) and fantastic on the ball. Well done Juan

Agree with several other posters he looks better than Sanchez this year.

I fucking love when he gets an interception and immediately dribbles in the midfield to start an attack. Sanchez could take notes.

Ahead of Sanchez for me

I think with Sanchez he is a player that needs a run of games. His first couple of games back he always looks way of the pace, but after a few games he seems to settle down. Ekotto used to be the same. We got two very promising centre backs coming through which is great.

I really can't see why we persist with Dier at DM when Foyth has so much more about him. People laugh at Thinktanks continual calls for Foyth in that role, but I'd rather laugh than cry which is how Dier makes me fell at the moment.

Nesta and Maldini were 6'2" and 6'1" respectively, which in that time was definitely taller than the average centre forward (Ronaldo and Shearer were both 6',0", Ferdinand and Inzaghi were both 5'11").

Cannavaro was indeed an oompa loompa.
Tall does not equal big.

Shearer and Ronaldo far bigger physical specimens than Nesta and Maldini.

The way he dealt with Zaha was fantastic to see. I'd be confident playing high up the pitch in the knowledge that he can stop attackers 1v1, with Sanchez sweeping.

There's absolutely no way we should be going with 3cbs now. We are much better when pushing the opposition up and I trust Foyth enough to deal with the counter attack threat as he reads the game very well. He'll only get better

In our current state I am in 100% agreement he should get games in midfield.

Let's just say... I'm pleased some are finally appreciating the scope of this guy's game and his awesome potential.

Don't worry. On here, to me, you're the equivalent of Erik Lamela.

I sit here watching everyone call you a ****, then lay back in a warm blanket of Ha-fucking-Ha when you prove them all wrong. :joyful:

Really good game today. Shame Sanchez is struggling to find an extra yard at the moment

2 fantastic young central defenders

But let's not kid ourselves like we did with walker and trippier. We don't need stupid thoughts that we don't need Alderweireld

In Alderweireld Vertonghen Foyth and Sanchez we have the best 4 combined centre backs that can only be matched by city with stones laporte kompany ottomendi. Maybe I'm biased but I think our 4 combined is better. We also have better combined GKs. It's just their full backs dominate us after we helped them

You have to say that Foyth looks the more polished player than Sanchez of late, who has looked a little raw this season since coming back from injury
