She's nice and all, but take your time lad! Play the field a little ffs!

He’s not small. He’s the same height as Toby 6ft 1.5. He’s just one of those people that look smaller than they actually are a bit like trippier and eriksen. I’m sure most wouldn’t guess trippier is taller than rose or that eriksen is 5ft 11.

Eriksen is 6ft

I know the midfield thing is a long running joke. But with vertonghen back he goes back to 4th choice and may not even get a bench place. With wanyama still out it does seem worth an experiment. He certainly seems to carry the ball better than Dier and even possibly Winks. But I guess Poch saw it in Dier so if there was a possibility he’d surly give it a go. Seems very very similar to Declan Rice situation.

Vertonghen will be straight back in the team once he's fit.

Fabio Cannavaro.

Nesta and Maldini weren’t huge either.

Nesta and Maldini were 6'2" and 6'1" respectively, which in that time was definitely taller than the average centre forward (Ronaldo and Shearer were both 6',0", Ferdinand and Inzaghi were both 5'11").

Cannavaro was indeed an oompa loompa.

He's one of my all-time favourite players and yet I had no idea Maldini was that tall. Didn't look it! Truly exceptional footballer, either way.

I think we are wasting him not even on bench tonight. He looks a fantastic prospect and I think we need to find a way to get him in the team whether it’s 3 at the back or even dare I say as a DM.

Hard to think we lose so limply to Palace and Foyth had Zaha in his pocket all game. A fine individual performance and shows he was worth fighting for.

Will make the occasional mistake, but he’s going to be a wonderful player.

I alluded to this in the match thread, but if he performs like this in the next couple of games he plays I'd put him ahead of Sanchez in the pecking order.

He is facing Zaha tonight with the helpless trippier. Really good performance. The only positive thing tonight. Can see why Poch wants to push him in the CL squad.

If we were to lose Toby in the summer I’d personally give his spot to Foyth and bring in a young prospect to then be 4th choice. We need both Foyth and Sanchez getting game time next season to progress. Having one who rarely starts isn’t helping them. Vertonghen can play big games and away games but I’d be perfectly happy having those two at CB in home games against bottom half of league to learn and build a relationship for future.
