Good young player. A bit too rash at the moment so is liable to give a few more pens away before he settles down. Future is bright with Sanchez and him. Would still love another young CB prospect like De Ligt though!

He is going to make mistakes it is part of his development. Poch has said about the young players he is not worried if they make a mistake (it is expected) just they needmto forget about it and keep playing. Would be nice if our fans could let them.

He will be a top quality cb. Yes, he has made some errors, but I see a lot of potential in this kid. He's calm in tight spaces and is very good with the ball.

Thought Foyth played well against Tranmere. He looked much more comfortable than he did last season when brought in for the Cup competitions. He has learned from that experience and coped well, stepping forward into midfield and showing composure on the ball - a good sign for the future.

He’s very composed on the ball already which is a good sign but I think he’s still pretty raw defensively from what I’ve watched of him this season. Rash, caught out of position at times and even a bit indecisive. He struggled a bit at times yesterday at the back but did well on the whole. He’ll learn and obviously has very high potential. But the most encouraging aspect of his game is how composed he is on the ball. Poch can help him stamp out the defensive issues. Once he does, he’s going to be some player.

I'm very excited by the type of defender this guy is going to be, one thing if I was Poch I'd ask him to work on overall through the run of games is making sure his passes meet their man. Sometimes I think he's too composed and doesn't give enough care to making sure the ball gets there, it's something I was critical about Ross Barkley also but I like to see players not be too nonchalant when passing. I love the composure but don't let it boil over to sloppy turnovers.

Congrats to him. Still odd seeing a little guy at CB. Are there any similar CBs that aren’t “big”

I wouldn't say he's small. Definitely over 6 ft

He's not particularly broad, if that's what you mean. But I wouldn't call him small

I think it's getting more and more common. For example Marquinhos and Presnel Kimpembe of PSG are two examples of 'small' CB's.
