We've proper stitched Josh up here... Villa the worst team in the league and they just hoof it up to Hogan for 90 mins.

Yeah, the one that paid 50m for Njie, Nkoudou and Sissoko and fucked off Pritchard, Oduwa and didn't play Onomah, KWP or Edwards when he could have, That's the one.

If only we had someone of your wisdom and judgment running the club.

If villa don't improve we need to get him the fuck out of there, will do him no good

On a sidenote, its shame to see such a "big club" struggling:D

Bruce will get less leeway than most other managers due to being a Blues manager in his past and for that reason a lot of Villa fans won't need much prompting to get on his back.
If nothing else it will be character building for Josh but certainly one for Poch to keep an eye on - if he's not learning anything then pull him out and try something else.

He was stuck up top and left to chase down the constant long balls down the channel. Is this really the plan we had for Josh?

So far for them, he's been #10, up top, holding mid and left wing. Just needs to work his way round the back line and he'll have the Phil Neville utility role nailed down

Should have sent him to Fulham or Derby (if he had to go), who seem to want to play a little bit of football.

He would have been perfect for Reading too.

Yeah. I guess it's too bad that Oduwa and Pritchard are tearing it up at top leagues now, eh?

Oh... wait...

Meanwhile his handling of KWP and Edwards has been perfect. KWP has got his chance and if, as it looks like, we don't buy another RB before the end of the window he'll play out the season as the rotation option at a club challenging for the title; a position that's as much, and arguably more, than what can be expected for a 20 year old. Edwards is even younger and has recently signed a contract extension when it was looking like a close thing whether he would or not. I'd say Pochettino's handling of the youth here has been excellent.

The hope is Steve Bruce will get sacked and they'll get someone in who promotes possession footy.

Should be at Brighton assuming they want him - Chris H would have his interests at heart too

The point is, they could have been "not tearing up at top leagues" for nothing, instead of the 50m we've paid for Njie, Nkoudou and Sissoko to "not tear up top leagues".

I strongly disagree with the idea that Poch's handling of Pritchard, KWP, Onomah or Edwards has been perfect. And I'll add Veljkovic (who is doing well in a top league) to that list as well.

I don't blame Poch entirely, it's a very complex issue.

But at least those guys, bar Sissoko which is truly bafflling, were young and had exposed form and performed reasonably well in a top league. For the price paid for N'jie and GKN they were nothing more than calculated gambles which haven't worked out (although, in GKN's case there is still time). On the other hand, Oduwa and Pritchard had been at the club a number of years and shown that they weren't good enough.

I think he's handled KWP and Edwards really well. Letting go of Pritchard was the right call and Onomah still has time to make it here. He's done a good job. As for Veljkovic, iirc there was fault both with the player and the club on that one.

pritchard is good enough, he just has a lot of issues with his ankle. maybe the club were aware of this and that's why they let him go.

Pritch posted on Instagram yesterday or this morning a pic of his leg all wrapped up as they cruised down regent st or somewhere in london

How much have you seen all of these players play? Have you met any or all of them?

Milos left us in 2016, played 8 games for Bremen (He could easily have got those with us) and only last season played 38 games. So to say he was handled badly is a mistake/ guess. He would not have replaced Jan or Toby at CB and in 2016 not Dier in CDM. Nor last season with Wanyama in CDM. Even Wimmer was ahead of him. Poch can only offer what is available. The game time wasn't there for him and he left. Fair is fair, you can't keep a player, not playing, unless they have no ambition or you're paying ludicrous money.
