It’s ironic that he’s leaving (seemingly) just when a player arrives that he could learn from, in Ndombele. Josh has the skills and physique, but just needs to put himself about a bit more. And not get played on the wing.
Him and Ndombele are the same age, crazy to see the gulf in talent and application, sadly if we want to continue being a top 4 side Onomah is nowhere near the level required

Why is this possible deal dragging on so long? Yet another possible out going and here we are again with less that two weeks to shift him. There are others hanging about that supposedly have no future with the club, this shit is so fucking frustrating.

I agree with and support Levy here.

Scott Parker was inside our club as a coach for long enough to know which players have the most potential. If he is targeting Josh, then that will reflect what he saw in training and heard from our Academy and first team staff about his ability, his character and professionalism.

Targeting Onomah as part of any transfer deal is a considered judgement on Parker's part that Josh still has a chance of reaching the high level that those of us who watched him in international and club youth football saw.

Obviously, some players reach or even exceed the expectations placed on them as youngsters, and some sadly fail to realise their potential.

But how good Josh Onomah and Ryan Sessegnon will become is unknowable, and both transfers would be a bet on potential and development.

So, yes, if Fulham want £30m for Sess, plus doubtless a percentage of any subsequent transfer fee, then we should be asking for £10-15m for Josh plus the same sell-on fee.

I was thinking about this earlier. I imagine a bit of an impasse regarding sell-on fees.

Parker will have seen him in training though. Without sounding too hyperbolic, Kane didn't set the Championship on fire either
I posted this some time ago and I think its stil relevent. Parker was a coach at Spurs at the same time.

I have posted this before but think its worth while re posting.
At the Chelsea home game last season I had the great pleasure of sitting next to Ugo Ehiogu. I asked him of all the juniors who was our best prospect. He said without doubt Onohma. The big problem was how could he break into a midfield of Dier Wanyama and Dembele. His appearances had been small cameos on the wing which he was not suited to and did not do him justice, however he was certain he would make it as he was the most talented young player he had ever coached.
I also asked him about Edwards and he said he had all the talent but they had to get his head right. He was certain that Onohma would make is and break into the first team sooner rather then later as he was so talented.

Strange that it's never happened then despite Dembele being gone, Wanyama being crocked and Dier have a below-par season.

Think he has been on constant loan in the past two seaons and prior to that those three had the midfield tied up, in any event those were Ugos thoughts not mine and Parker may still think the same way.

People to make up this thing that he has a weak mentality or doesnt work hard, despite Poch calling him special, consistently being picked by Englabd coaches in one of their most important roles and winning two trophies and other anecdotes from coaches implying how good and hard working he is.

Haven't we got longer for outgoings if they go elsewhere not the premier League?

No chance huddersfield would be paying 15m for him but they have just hired David Webb who would have seen josh while he was with us...

Article is written by Pete O’Rourke who is used to be a Press Association Journalist, now freelance.
It also seems reasonable given they are looking for a loan+ buy deal
IMO, this may have some legs but I still believe he could go to Fulham as part of Sess deal

The fact he was pictured in their ground makes that pretty certain. Should imagine they are just deciding whether he will be part of the sess deal or will just be a straight transfer.
