I've had tonsillitis twice this year and it's not pleasant but it must be quite bad to have to travel home unless it's just not worth him staying out there as by the time he's better we would be going home anyway.

Don’t want it spreading around rest of squad, so makes perfect sense to send him back to UK.

The humidity and smog in summer in Asia will make it worse. Sensible thing to go back to England.

If it's viral tonsillitis, which tends to be around this time of year, then it's contagious.
No point in taking any risks whatsoever with it.

In fairness, unless you’re French Kissing or consuming another persons saliva or very intimate breath, even that isn’t contagious. ?

I’m not the judgemental type so if our squad had that sort of closeness then so be it. ❤️??

Why is this in the transfer section? I’ve not seen any transfer rumours featuring Hugo.

Think it's mainly to piss off people that's been banned from the transfer forum.

But still poor with his feet

Not really, it's always gonna be extremely tough for any GK when you have man city pressing at you like that. I actually give Hugo credit for not gifting away any goals today (while against any other rivals that would be the bare minimum requirement).

Hugo was immense yesterday. It was one of those sorts of performances you get from the goal keeper of a plucky non-league team in the FA Cup 3rd round, when they're home to Burnley or someone, and they just keep everything out somehow.

Some more game saving stops, but didn't half give me palpitations on a few occasions.

It’s obvious the new goal kick rules would be bad for us with our players against the good teams. Just kick it long against them more often than not, it’s much safer.
