Jenas made a good point on Match of the Day about the goalkeepers' positioning for Rashford/Kane's shots. De Gea had his feet both planted inside the post, whilst Lloris' left foot was outside.

However, whilst Hugo's positioning isn't perfect in a freeze frame, it doesn't take into account the fact that Lloris had to run back, caused by the panic of Trippier's intercepted pass, where he didn't have much time to properly set himself.
So infact he pointed out something that wasn't the same circumstance which turns out to be a terrible point but highlights it anyway!

Gazzanigga saves that. Not because he's amazing and Lloris is shit, simply a size thing. Lloris got fingertips on it but not enough. Prime example was the Hudson-Odoi cross from Tuesday.

Great finish though. Albeit annoying from such an acute angle. Cant blame Lloris, the ones to blame are Trippier & the forwards
Gazza can save that because you all can say whatever you like since this is all hypothetical. Anything to put one on Tottenham Hotspurs captain, have some respect

Did i not say that it doesnt mean Lloris is shit? You're correct that technically its hypothetical, but to say that because gazzanigga saving that was a possibility is showing a lack of respect for Lloris is total bollocks.

I thought Lloris played really well for what its worth

Really do not know where all the Lloris hate comes from. Gets dug out for marginal mistakes let alone full blown blunders!

He is still a fantastic goalkeeper that makes far less mistakes than most and makes far more saves than most.
Gazza has done well but spilled one last week and saved one that wasn't pushed away from danger. Neither resulted in a goal, thankfully

Be careful what you wish for. Easily the best and most consistent keeper we've had since Jennings and then Clemence which was over 30 years ago!!!
I go back to Jennings' time in the mid-70s when Barry Daines did well when called upon to play in place of the 'Great Man'. He did so well that Keith Burkinshaw decided to give him his chance as No. 1 and Jennings was released. We know that didn't turn out well and we spent the next 5 years trying to find a top class goalkeeper before eventually signing Clemence.

Lloris will always leave a question mark but then he will do things only the very best keepers can do.
The funny thing is - he did it in the same game - the save from Pogba was save of the match. I dont know whether it was because i was directly behind it and i was like wow how the fuck did he get that but im thinking others didnt see it as a wow moment that I did haha

Lloris my motm today, made 2 out standing saves and made a brilliant challenge on Mitrovic. Really kept us in the game.

Making me look like a right twat (not that that's tough) ever since my outburst after Wolves and long may it continue.
